Where can I find parking for the Celebration in the Oaks in New Orleans?|182815

Will be visiting New Orleans during the Christmas season and have never been. I plan to drive to the event. Where is the best place to park? Is there street parking within the park? Are the adjacent neighborhoods safe to park at?

The first two answers are correct and we have never had a problem parking in the free lot across from the Botanical Gardens to walk around. It is very safe. City Park is in a great neighborhood, but it_s easy to violate the residential parking regulations.

Note that is you want to have supper at one of the rrestaurants close to City Park then reservations are essential.

Parking is free inside the park, and I strongly suggest that you do not park in the neighborhoods. I hope you have a blast there,it_s a great experience to walk through.
