How comfortable would it be to live in Hawaii on cheapest island?|192674

Ive got 900 per month to live off of along with wife and might have kids on the way?

everyone here is right...unless you get another job and your wife gets a job too, you might get by living here. with that income you can probably rent part of someones house, like their room or something...apartment rent (for a decent one) will cost you nothing less than $1000 and whose to say if it will include utilites which most will not come with for free (lucky if you can get it tho), then you would have to consider your living expenses (groceries, gas, clothing, entertainment, baby?)...all i have to say is GOOD LUCK living in hawaii with only $900!

Go on the web and look at classifieds for rentals in Hawaii at all the islands. You will see that a place to live for you and your family will cost you all your income. It is no longer possible to camp out at campgrounds all the time there, they have limits how long you can stay at one. You can_t camp unless it is a camping area. I wonder where the homeless people go, but I know if I tried to camp out I could be fined or go to jail for vagrancy if I didn_t follow their rules, and then I wouldn_t have a place to sleep. What I_m telling you is you have to rent or buy a place to live and the rents are HIGH HIGH HIGH.

You would NOT be able to live comfortably on that income on ANY of the Hawaiian islands.
