Where would be a good place for engagement photos in San Francisco?|138292

We_d like to have the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, but would take suggestions for other places as well. We were thinking Baker_s Beach, but i had heard that it was clothing optional, and we will have our young daughter with us. Any input is appreciated. Thank you.

  • I_m going to go along with the Palace of the Legion of Honor. It_s usually not crowded at all, it_s a fabulous view of the bridge and Bay, and you have some other options of places for photos (statues, gardens).

Baker (as I mentioned in your other question) can get windy and sandy.

You also might consider going across the bridge to the Marin Headlands, where you can get shots like this:

  • The grounds of the Palace of Legion of Honor overlook the GG Bridge so that could work well. When I did my engagement photos that is one of the options we tried. We got some great pictures but decided to go with a different option.

Some other suggestions for GG Bridge backdrop
    Ft. Point
    Ft. Mason
    Ft. Baker in marin

or some other great spots to try for an only in SF feel.
Portals of the Past, Conservatory of Flowers, Japanese Tea Garden, or the windmill in Golden Gate Park
Sutro Heights park has some beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean
Coit Tower or the Fillbert Street Steps
Embarcadaro with the Bay Bridge or the TransAmerica building in the background.
Treasure Island with the city spread out behind you

    Congratulations on your engagement!

  • The above poster is right on the mark with Ft. Mason. Beautiful up there!

Also, think about Treasure Island, right on the banks, where you can get a phenomenal picture of the SF skyline and Bay Bridge in the background!

  • Fort Point is also a good place. Another is Crissy Field.
