Does anyone know of any quiet spots in NYC to get some work done, and possibly open late?|146865

I go to school in the upper east side, and intend on skipping class to get other work done. Ideally I would go to the MET, and sit in Astor Court but they close at 5:30pm.
Any other suggestions?

Some coffee shops open late:

just take a walk down Warmoesstraat there is lots of coffeeshops that open to 1am sunday--thusday 2am fri -sat

Why not go to your local public library? That_s where most people go to get some peace and quiet. Most Manhattan libraries are open until 6-8pm. I_ve included the link to the NYPL hours.

Try a Starbucks but avoid going to ones in high tourist areas. :) The ones by the Financial District are open until about 8:30 everyday and most of the time they_re empty since everyone who works in the area is already home.
