How can i persuade my parents to move to America?|110415

Im a 9 year old kid and its 2 weeks until my birthday. My dad refuses to get a job so far and I don_t really have the courage to ask them _Can we move to America?_ If I say just that then they_ll laugh or something and I have a 40% 60% chance of it happening so can you help me?

  • The famed Carnival Pony trick.
You attach a stick to their head.
In front of their eyes, attached to the stick is a carrot.
If your parents seem to enjoy following that carrot for days on end
just ask them, if they would like to live in a country where they can chase the carrot forever and ever and ever...............

Then tell them there is a place called -- A med ica,
A place where we build fences to keep people out ( IN?), where you need an exit permit to travel OUT of the country. A place where 500,000 people a week are losing their jobs, A place where 5,479 homes are forclosed a day. If that does not work,,
tell your dad that, if he goes here he can date Pamela Anerson.

  • You_re asking for quite a lot in one go so be aware of the process.

Most importantly, to live in the US you have to be able to work there to pay for your future. The only way to legally live and work in the US as a non-American is by obtaining a _Green Card_. This is a lenghty and expensive process which can be rather daunting. If neither your mom or dad has any work lined up before the application, it is likely to be denied - making it impossible for you guys to move.

As a best way forward, I would suggest going on a holiday first and doing lots of reading about the place(s) you_d like to go. If you are still as excited about the US after having been there for some time your dad will understand you better and will be more openminded to the change.

Been several times and it_s a nice place, but I am not sure whether I would want to live there.

  • You_re 9 years old and using Yahoo! Answers? Kid, go do something else!

Second of all, do you realize what you_re asking your parents to do? It_s not as easy as, _Sure sweetie, we_ll go to the United States on the next plane._ It can take YEARS!!!! to become a legal resident. You might be an adult by the time you become a legal resident. It took my uncle almost 10 years to become a legal resident.

Third, the United States is doing HORRIBLE right now because of the economy so your mommy and daddy aren_t going to simply find a job. It_s really hard out here and it_s only going to get worse.

I know that you_re just a kid and you think that life is as simple as the way you want it. But kid, hang tight. Enjoy your childhood years and if you still want to move here when you_re older, come over here and don_t let that dream go.

  • Things are about to get really, really bad here and you_re probably better off where you are.

The _globalists_ want to bring the USA down to the point where the people will be grateful when they _rescue_ us with a more restrictive form of government and a global banking system. For that reason, we will probably be hit the hardest by this global recession intentionally created by the _globalists_. MUCH more money leaves the country than comes in due to treasonous _globalism_. No government official will address the true problem... just the symptoms... because they_re behind it. There can or will be no turnaround with such a large debt and trade deficit. Obama wants to build a _domestic security force as powerful as the military_. Why is there going to be such trouble we need that? The poor and unemployed will be needing the work and they_ll join Obama_s army to feed their families. It doesn_t look good...

  • er, you_re nine years old? well, firstly you_re too young to even be on this website. secondly if your dad really doesn_t have a job, how do you expect to afford being able to move to america? be patient, kid. nine more years and you can go by yourself. just don_t smash your piggy bank for a decade. i was upset when my dad turned down a job offer in germany when i was younger, but he wouldn_t have got paid as much, even if i think it_s a nicer country. i think your parents are more financially knowledged than you. they_ll have their reasons for not wanting to move to america. :]

  • You can_t _move_ here (legally) unless you have a sponsor. You either need to be coming here to go to university or to be employed. Either the university or employer sponsors you.

  • Well they don_t give welfare to non-working people here in America who aren_t citizens or on their way to being citizens. Stay where you are for now and move when you are 18.

  • tell them that in America, they have 99.9% of becoming rich INSTANTLY. That will make them pack their bags and move to America.

  • you want to move to america? gosh id love to go there. anyway try telling them all the good things about it
