What is the easiest way to drive from Victoria Texas to scottsbluff Nebraska?|195274

I have never driven out of the state of texas.
I have to get to scottsbluff soon. Daughter is pregnant and homeless. She needs my help.
I don_t even know how much gas it will cost to get there just guessing. Thank you for any help you can give me.

  • The fastest way according to various mapping programs is to take US-87 north to US-183 north to I-35, and then take I-35 north until you reach I-80 in Nebraska, then go west to Scottsbluff. The total mileage is about 1,250 miles each direction -- you can see a more detailed route by going to the link below and then typing in _Victoria, TX to Scottsbluff, NE_ as your search.

Note that the route given to you in another answer suggesting you go through Wyoming and Colorado is actually two hundred or so miles longer than the route listed above -- it_s closer to 1400 miles each way, not 1100.

  • Lemme do one thing at a time here
I_m gonna try to keep you in civilization for as much of this as possible
Enter this into mapquest and except for the Amarillo _ Lamar CO ,I_ve actually driven this route and in winter
Victoria TX[ i used the one by Waco ] _ Amarillo TX _ Amarillo TX_ Lamar CO _ Pueblo CO _ Cheyenne WY _ Scottsbluff NE 1100 miles Realistically speaking :Stop and sleep for a couple of hours in a motel between pueblo _ colorado springs
    Gas stuff
    1200 miles / 25 mpg = 48 gallons x $ 3.00 per gal=$ 144.00
    motel $ 50.00
Warning ! Dress warm and carry xtra food and bblankets in your car
    Safe trip
    need more info just ask
    Edit :
It turns that there are two _Victorias _ in the State of Texas
I chose the one by waco not the one by corpus
If I had selected the one by corpus and routed it
Victoria_Amarillo _Lamar CO _ Cheyenne WY _ Scottsbluff NW the mileage would be 1250
However there_s an advantage to this routing in terms of speed :
Only one major city to deal with -Denver and not 3-5 and if you hit Dallas or Kansas City at the wrong tme of day it will realy slow you down

  • check it out on google maps
