How to spend Christmas Eve day in San Francisco?|143716

How should a family of four (2 adults 2 teens) spend Christmas Eve day in San Fran? We were planning on ice skating in Union Square but what else would be festive and memorable?

  • Take the Cable Car to Fisherman_s Wharf and Pier 39. Enjoy SF.

  • I_d say the Nutcracker, but it_s surely too late to get tickets for Christmas Eve.

Umm... I think the Walt Disney Museum is screening Fantasia on a big screen, which should be fun. Though teens may be in that awkward phase where they_re not young enough to appreciate it at first-hand value, and not old enough for the nostalgia/kitsch value. I_m tempted to go to it myself, but it depends on how much I hate people/holidays then (doesn_t look promising so far). _:D_ But meh. Off-Market Theatre is doing a performance of David Sedaris_ Santaland Diaries (in highschool, everyone loved David Sedaris... I_m guessing that hasn_t changed in the past few years), if that_s your thing.

Meh. Doing stuff on Christmas is kind of annoying, imo. If you actually live here (as opposed to visiting), I suggest staying home and baking all day! _3

  • The wharf has everything for all of you. Take a sightseeing cruise in the Bay for an hour or two, stop at one of the street artists to have a caricature drawn of the family for a remembrance.

  • how about stay in and enjoy ones company playing games and watching movies!!

  • yelp, take the cable car and explore pier 39- the kids would love it.
