What is the best city in Colorado to live in?|100486

My boyfriend and I are thinking about moving after we are married and we are trying to decide which city in Colorado would be the best to live in. We are looking for a place that the cost of living is not outrageous and has a good job market (preferably in health care). We are looking for a place that is pretty and scenic. Also somewhere that has things to do and places to go (within reasonable distance). And good place to raise a family. Any answers would be great. Thanks!

Thanks!

  • I have to go with Colorado Springs. It_s definitely pretty and scenic-- nestled right up against the foothills and Pikes Peak. Gorgeous views everywhere you go. Tons of hiking and biking trails.

    We love living here.

Plenty of things to do in town, and within 5-30 minutes there is lots more: state parks, reservoirs, mountain towns, etc.

The cost of living is also reasonable, and I think health care (fortunately) has a good market everywhere now-a-days.

    Good luck!

  • Highlands Ranch, Littleton, or Fort Collins. Take your pick. Both Highlands Ranch and Littleton are suburbs on the south side of town with easy access to the mountains. They both have extremely close access to the Denver health care system. Fort Collins is farther north (about an hour) but is consistently voted one of the top 3 small cities in the country to live in because of its amenities and such. My wife and I moved out to Colorado a year ago, our favorite is Highlands Ranch. It_s close to the city but is removed enough where we feel that we can escape at night. Check out www.city-data.com for more info. :)

  • Both Colorado springs and Ft. Collins were named best cities in the U.S. to live in for their size and meet your requirements. Living somewhere along the Front Range...between Pueblo and the Wyoming border is great...within easy reach of many activities, good shopping, great cities. You will LOVE Colorado.

  • Denver!
