I am taking a trip to New York in July. I plan on going to New York City. I was told to go to the Holland Tunnel and park there but can_t find any information on the cost or where to park or the time limit for parking. Please help.
The Holland Tunnel is $8 to go to New York and free to return to New Jersey. However, it lets you out in downtown Manhattan, where parking can be very expensive.
A much more reasonable alternative is to park in Jersey City ($8-10 per day) and then take the PATH train to Manhattan. It is a subway that connects New York and New Jersey and brings you to the same area as the Holland Tunnel.Honestly don_t even think about driving in Manhattan unless you absolutely have to i.e you_re physically handicapped or you_re picking up or delivering something.
The only exception to that rule would be on a Sunday
Park your car outside the city and use mass transit to get around
Re-post this Q under NYC for more good answers and include where you_re coming so that the regulars can tell you where to best parkIt costs $8. There is no parking in the tunnel. But any of the parking lots in the city should do fine, or you can park in on-street parking.
