How can I get to the beach from portland without a car?|142871

I have a dog and limited money.

Portland buses require that you have your dog in a kennel at all times on the bus unless it is a service dog. I would suggest either leaving the dog home or asking friends if they want to a day trip to the coast. Have one person (with the biggest car) drive and have everyone pitch in gas money! Pack a picnic lunch to save money there and enjoy the sand and the sun!

I would suggest transit but most transit agenies dont allow
dogs unless they are in a kennel you carry onto the bus
plus then lot of beaches dont allow dogs either..
maybe the pooch should stay home (its jsut a suggestion otherwise
ask some friends)
