Would love recommendations for things to do in Hawaii the big island?|188763

Our family is going on vacation this week and we_d love suggestions not to miss for things to do.

visit the uss Arizona museum
some of the hotels have luaus with authentic hula dancers
visit turtle beach
take a bus tour of the island
visit the Buddhist temple

Go see the volcano but be prepared for rain. Spend a day hiking around the national park. Go to the southern most point on the island and have some pastries from the bakery there, or have lunch.

If you_re in Kona, have lunch/dinner at Quinns Almost by the Sea. Go parasailing with UFO Parasail. Go swimming with the dolphins at the Hilton resort.

Kick back and relax. Spend time relaxing on the beach.

the BIG ISLAND!!!! I ove it...i went with 13 family members a couple years ago...you MUST take a guided boat out to snorkel, dive, eat, and relax near cooks corner...also must go to what the locals call Turtle Beach..kick it on the _strip...near LULU_s and the Hard Rock...all in Kona and a great time great locals great memories~~~!

I would like specific names. I am looking up on cheap hotels and some say 3 blocks from ocean blvd.Is that close?

What is the cheapest thing you bought at the Outlet near Primm Nevada and what brand?How much?|175951

I only have 2.5 days in Vegas and am wondering if the Outlets are worth the time. If not, I_ll just look for the clearance items at Caesar_s or at the Venetian where I can get $5 Banana Republic shirts. If the outlets can beat those deals then I_m all for it. Thanks!

I get polo ralph lauren shirts for like 20 percent of retail.
Also got shoes in one place buy and get one free.

It is a 35 minute ride south.
If you do not have time there is a hugh mall on Las VEgas Blvd. and Warm Springs. All sports of stuff. Nike store. Got nice shirts clearance for $5 and sneaker shoes for maybe $15.

Problem is I live here and will go and sometimes no buy, just keep going back to get the cheap stuff.


This place is only 12 minutes from the resort corridor.

You don_t need to go all the way to Primm. There is a great outlet mall not far from the Mandalay Bay on Las Vegas Boulevard South. It is across the freeway from Silverton. They have way better outlets, in fact, a way bigger mall.

I got a Coach purse, originally marked for $328 for $113 including tax, at the coack store.

I assume you mean renting? What_s your budget? _Within an hour_ gives you a pretty big area. You could go North to Everett and get a much bigger place for a lot less than in the Seattle neighbourhoods - only about $400 for a one bedroom or studio. Or you could go South to Renton or Tukwila, or East to Issaquah. Those are all 15 mins to 30 mins out of Seattle - more during rush hour.

If it_s just you a good option would be to find one of those houses in Wallingford, Fremont, Ballard or Queen Anne that they_ve converted to apartments. You_d get to be really close to school plus live in a cool neighbourhood and possibly be within walking distance to a lot of things. And they_re actually quite affordable. A friend of mine had a great studio in an old house in Queen Anne and only paid $700 per month. Another had a one bedroom apartment and paid $750.

If you have some specifics about what_s most important to you I can give you some more info. I moved here five years ago so really learned about the different areas and then a year after also helped a friend from FL find a place when he moved up.

west seattle is cheap, its a hole, but its cheap.
the internation district is as well.

surrounding ares north of the city 30 miles or so are as well, marysville comes to mind

South Seattle like on MLK blvd or near E. Marginal Way. The cheapest is a little farther south like Seatac and Southpark, but not as good of an area.

How long do you think itll take to recieve a package?|160093

I have a package that ships within 24 hours Monday thru Friday only. I placed my order today (Sunday) and it is supposed to ship out of San Francisco and get to Philadelphia where I am from. If it leaves the warehouse Monday via UPS Ground, should it arrive in Philadelphia and to my house by Friday or Friday evening?

Quite possibly - but it all depends on when it gets out of the warehouse (Monday evening vs. Monday morning).

It could happen anytime either on Friday or Thursday..you don_t know how they do their job.
