What day do they shut off the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center in NYC? Do they shut it down on Christmas day??? If so what day and time do they shut down the tree? What day do all the windows and evrything in Rockefeller Center go down?

The tree stays up until after the new year. The only time the lights are shut off are on NYE (I think).

The store decorations should be up until January 1.

Whats the difference between the two Hoover Dam tours?|191442

I see that there_s a self-guided Powerplant Tour and a guided Hoover Dam Tour. The self-guided one is $11 and the guided one is $25. What_s the difference? Do I not get to see some of the dam if I tour on my own?

You want the guided our as you go into the deper parts of the Dam, hear the history, and so much more. You get to look up from the bottom, something you do not get for the self tour.

We took the guided one and it was def worth the $25...you go down into the dam, learn alot of history, and it_s just really interesting..Not sure where the $11 gets you but the following link should help, I_d pay the extra!!

The airport is pretty far away from downtown San Fran. You could take the BART metro in each day but that would be a bit expensive _ you would probably want to stay in the city as there is a lot to do. log onto any web or pick up a guide book as there is just so much to do.

I just recently went to San Francisco, and yes, the Embassy Hotel is definitely a good and safe place to stay. When I was there, my family and I went shopping obviously, but we also went to Pier 39. It has lots of cool shops and great dining. I recommend going to Alcatraz, because we went there and it was very interesting and a great experience. I was glad we went. Have fun and hope I helped!

That is more of a hotel for business travelers, there is nothing around there and it isn_t even in SF, actually its about 10 mi from downtown SF. And yes it is a safe area. Its going to be a journey just to get to SF.

How can I find a decent studio in nyc without going completely broke?|175793

I have been apartment hunting in nyc and would like to find a nice studio bc I have had bad luck with roommates and the roommate matching websites I have used have not helped out a lot either!! What are my best options to find a place that is not outrageously priced but in a nice part of the city?

A studio in Manhattan will go for $1800 or so. The other boroughs can be had for much less. Try Sunnyside, Woodside or Jackson Heights in Queens. These neighborhoods are a short train ride from midtown.

If you want to live in Manhattan its going to be hard finding a place that is inexpensive. I recommend you look up Astoria or Bayside they are nice places and a lot cheaper than the city. Also if you are getting a studio it is probably going to be very small. When you do get the apartment you should look up

LOLOL. Studio? Nice part of the city? Are you Donald Trump. You would do better in the Boros. Rent is outrageous even in bad parts of the city.

My advice, don_t look for one in Manhattan, because their expensive. Consider looking for a decent studio in the outer boroughs.

You have to be legally an adult and you have to have a valid credit card. That usually means at least 18, so I think you are ok. Actually, as long as you have the valid credit card part, I doubt very much if anyone will even ask about your age.

But airport hotels right next to LAX are among the most expensive in the city. You will do much better on price if you can find a place about 3-4 miles away, and take a Super Shuttle back and forth. For example, try going south into Manhattan Beach or north into Marina del Rey. They are much safer neighborhoods, and with more decent restaurants and fun places to walk around and see the sights too.

You are a legal adult in the eyes of the law so you can rent a room practically anywhere.

The only thing ya have to be older to do is rent a car (24 due to accident liability).

As long as you pay for it that is ...j/k.

The first answer said a credit card but hey that is not the case. If ya pay cash and have a valid state ID card you should be fine.
