Looking to rent a home. Heard Hyde park is nice, want to be close to UC, but not in a place where I_ll be robbed. Visited my friend_s brother years ago in Clifton and thought it was pretty crappy. I_d prefer to stay on the ohio side, for college residency reasons, but will consider the KY side. Can afford a nicer place, so throw everything out there for me. I want a house too, not an apartment. Thank you.
Kenwood, Morrow are both really nice places to live. They are on the expensive side but nice. Hyde Park is nice. Don_t go to Avondale, Evanston, Oakley, Over the Rhine. Fort Thomas in Kentucky was okay the last time I was there. Hope this helps.IMt.Auburn is close to uc and a good neighborhood just stay out the bad part of it it and you_ll be fine in clifton to if you move by the college beacue that is a busy part.Actually you may want to look deeper into Clifton. The area across from the hospital which is considered as Clifton Height and also Calhoun Marketplace is a great residetial place to be.Milton Street

It is the original _corporate city limits_ back when the city was founded.
Some will say that it is the wrong part of town, but all you need to do is park your car and take a walk up the street.... I promise that you will see _for rent_ signs and you will fall in love. It is several blocks long, all residential (except for Milton_s Tavern) and every building on the street is a national historic landmark. Oh yea, did I mention the panoramic view of the city.... With out the Mt Adams price tag!!!

Hyde Park is really nice, very charming. Mount Adams is pretty hip.
Mount Lookout is getting better. I don_t think you_ll be able to find a nice safe house all that close to UC. It_s not a bad area, but it_s not nice either.
Here_s a nice website about all the neighborhoods:

Stay AWAY from Over-the-Rhine unless you like gunshots and drive-bys. I live in the Columbus area and hear about O-T-R waaaay too often.
I work with guys who are from the Cincy area. I_ll ask them tonight.hyde park, villa hills, indian hill, just dont live in latonia, newport, or downtown covington.
