How hard is it to travel from Dulles Airport to the Penn Station?|184306

IMy flight is leaving from Dulles but I don_t have a ride so I will have to take public transportation from Penn when I am leaving and do the same to come back.

I might have one big suitcase ( that will only have clothes, nothing heavy) and a carry on. How hard will it be for me to move in the metro area to take the rails and the buses ?

That_s a long trip on a lot of different types of public transportation. I_m assuming you mean Penn Station in Baltimore. You_re going to have to take Marc or Amtrak to D.C., metro out to Rosslyn and get a bus from there to the airport. If you_re traveling at a busy time of day on a weekday where trains and buses are frequent I_d expect it to take about 2 1/2 hours (based on metro trip planner). If you_re traveling on the weekend you would be looking at quite likely even longer than that since your transfers will take longer.

Hauling your suitcase might be a bit of a pain but, honestly, nothing is going to make that a considerably more or less pleasant trip.

Penn Station is in New York. Do you mean Union Station?

If so, it_s a bit tricky, but here_s how to do it:

Take the Washington Flyer shuttle (leaves at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour) to the West Falls Church Metro station. Last I checked, it_s $9 one way and $16 round trip.

Take the Orange Line toward New Carrollton and get off at Metro Center. Transfer to the Red Line in the direction of Glenmont and take that three stops to Union Station.

The Washington Flyer bus will probably put your suitcase under the bus. You can carry suitcases on Metro--I_ve done it all the time, even riding the Metro to National Airport during evening rush hour--but it can be tricky if the trains get crowded. There are elevators in all the Metro stations as well, and hopefully none will be out of service.

I_m going for the 9th and 10th rounds of the NFR in Vegas this year with my sister and girlfriend and we want to have a good time. Being a cowgirl myself, I would like to know where all the other _cow-people_ will be going. Thanks for your input!

Circus Circus has lots of people from that event. and they have deep pockets they will buy you drinks. Back in 2005 was here and at the CC and met some cowboys and they like to buy the drinks. You should visit one night after you go to the event.

Stoney_s is a good place to go party and dance with us and shine a few buckles ;) We also have had good luck every year just hanging out at the local bars in the hotels. During PBR and NFR Finals, all the bars in the hotels and around town know that there are lots of cowboys and cowgirls in town with money to spend, so they all pretty much will have country music mixed in with other popular dance music pretty much every night during the finals.

It_s not hard to find a good bar to party at. We like to stay at the Golden Nugget downtown and they have a bar (called Golddiggers) that has an open balcony that you can drink at and holler at the people walking down the Fremont street experience (and get hollered back at by them *LOL*).

So don_t overlook the smaller bars just to go to Stoney_s. Stoneys is a place that you ought to hit at least one night during the rodeo though...although to be honest it gets pretty packed, so we tend to go there during other non-finals trips to Las Vegas rather than fighting for room on the dance floor. It_s all good though.

Too bad we are going the first weekend, or I_d buy you and your gal pals a drink! :)

It takes a package sent from any state to any state about the same amount of days, which is 2-3 days. It doesn_t matter the distant at all. The states can be right next to each other or 7 states apart. They are all shipped by plains and trucks. The post office places each city and state by categorie then trucks ship them to either the plain or truck that is traveling there next.

Best places to stay and attractions in Vermont?|120394

We_re planning to visit the Burlington area in Vermont and would like some suggestions on where to stay. I don_t necessarily like fancy resorts and I want someplace with great views of nature. Possibly a nice B_B or farm stay? Anyone stayed someplace nice in Vermont and have reviews?

if you_re staying in burlington there are a bunch of hotel chains which would be fine--the views of nature are all over town (lake champlain and the adirondack/green mountains are visible from anywhere in town)...most of the B_B_s are further from burlington in the smaller towns like stowe, jay and killington area...but you_ll have views of nature no matter where you are in VT so no need to stress over that...and any B_B literally will be nice, i_ve never stayed at a bad one..
