From what I am aware it closes at 7pm but I want to go at night and don_t want to take a stupid tour. Anyone ever done this?

You can be arrested and prosecuted for trespassing. Is that really worth it?

Do you really want to put yourself in jeopardy? Risking injury is just plain dumb. Anyone trespassing on Federal Park Property will be fined at least and jailed at the worst. A simple stay out after dark, should be sufficient. Here_s a link:

My boyfriend and I were discussing colleges. He is currently a freshman in college and im a senior in high school. He goes to North Central and i will be going to McHenry County College. I know it_s kinda soon to be planning this stuff, but we like to think about the future. We eventually want to live together and we were wondering what towns are in between those two colleges.

What is a good place to get a hotel and enjoy the nightlife in Columbus Ohio?|113386

I_m gonna be spending the night in Columbus in mid July on my way to Louisville, Kentucky with some friends. That night we_ll be seeing a Columbus Clippers baseball game and then we wanna hit some bars. So I want the hotel to be in a central location in regards to the stadium and some good bars. Also What are some good bars in the area.

Cooper Stadium, where the Clippers play, is not in such a great neighborhood...now, if you come back next year, they_ll have a new park in the arena district, but for now it_s on Mound Street. However, that is an easy (5 minute) drive from downtown, so staying anywhere central will be convenient for you. If money is no object, the nicest hotel in town is the Lofts on Nationwide Blvd. - you_ll be right near the short north and arena district, and the hotel is beautiful. However, if you_re on slightly more of a budget, you can be nearby at the Courtyard on Spring Street, which is also nice. The arena district and Park Street are has lots of popular bars - Frog Bear and Wild Boar, Brothers, Lodge Bar, Gasworks, etc. that stay hopping late into the night on weekends. And 71 runs through downtown, so it will be easy for you to hop back on the road to get to Louisville. Enjoy your visit!

Santa Monica Pier. i love it there.

Look for any beach park on Ranchos palos verdes its mostly residential and its very quiet there and most traffic and people just ignore that area.

If your willing to drive you can go to oxnard when I went there this thanksgiving it was deserted lol.

Cheesboro Park

If you can get to the beach early, it_s pretty quiet. Mostly joggers are there in the morning, from Santa Monica to Redondo.

A quick drive up Angeles Crest Highway can be very relaxing. There are a lot of hiking trails.

You can also find some nice trails up in the Sunland Tujunga area, especially where Sunland Ave crosses the 210.

The Rose Bowl area is a great place for a jog or a bike ride.

Echo Park? I think it_s too close to Glendale Blvd: Too many cars, area is a bit too dicey.

i_d like to know why do travel agencies get better prices with airlines and hotels, how much can you save with them?

sorry to disagree, but my daughter was (and still is in a different way) in the travel industry and she always plans and books our trips herself. I can_t imagine anyone getting better deals than we do! She DOES NOT get discounts or any special treatment.... She researches and rechecks her sites constantly.... as an example, after getting our 4 plane fares with frequent flier miles, our 10 day trip FOR 4 to Oahu, including rental car, 2 bedroom with full kitchen and pool hotel a block away from Waikiki Beach, admissions, food and souvenirs cost a TOTAL of...... $1600- remember that was for TEN days for FOUR!!!! We have spent 2 weeks in England for an unbelievable amount also and our trips to Disney World are super cheap. A lot of the fun (for us) is in the planning and researching AND finding the bargains and coupons, etc. Have fun wherever you go and however you get there!

It seems most places are being developed into expensive, clean neighborhoods. Are there any affordable places left where struggling artists and the like are going to live?

I think Bushwick is the only one. Although gentrification is smelled all over the place.

There_s no real affordable place for struggling artists! You can look around and find single apartments for around $1,000, but they_ll be small. Best bet is to get a roommate.
If you want _Bohemian_ neighborhoods, though, they *do* exist. Chelsea is probably the best-known one--so many galleries, great arts scene--but it tends to get expensive there. Same with Soho (certain parts) and Greenwich Village.

I have no idea, but as an artist I would love to one day be able to work from N.Y. even for a few months! :)
