How old do you have to be to get a hotel room at the Embassy Suites?|146953

Prom is this weekend and our group is thinking about getting a hotel room at the Embassy Suites in Des Moines, IA. Just wondering how old you have to be?

  • i believe the embassy suites is actually 21 to check in....but i_d call the one your planning on going to and ask, just to be on the safe side!

  • 18 depends weather your older or maybe you can get your parents permission.

  • ummm... i think 18

  • may i suggest you call and ask them, since it doesnt matter what we say....
  • Where is the best place to meet someone coming in on an international flight at Logan Airport?|186493

A friend and I are meeting in Boston next week - I am flying in domestically and he is coming internationally about a 2 hours after me. Where is the easiest place to meet up in the airport? Is there a particular place for international arrivals?

  • Since you will be flying on a domestic flight, you will arrive into terminal A, B, C/D; depending on which carrier you fly.

    Terminal A: Delta/Continental

    Terminal B: Air Canada/Alaska/America West/American Eagle/American/Spirit/USAirways

    Terminal C/D:AirTran/CapeAir/JetBlue/Midwest/
    United

All international flights from regardless of air carrier coming directly from a destination outside the U.S. will arrive into terminal E. Example, if your friend is coming on a direct flight from Ireland he/she will land into terminal E. However, if they flew Ireland to New York with a continuing or seperate flight into Boston they will arrive into the airline_s domestic terminal.

Once you arrive at your terminal, and after collecting your belongings walk outside any door that leads you to buses. It will be marked overhead with signs. You will stand at the blue bus stop to take the shuttle it also says _T_ with a circle around it. Several different blue buses will arrive. To get you from terminals A-D to E you can take several different buses. It doesn_t matter which of the following you take as they will all make a stop at terminal E.

Shuttle buses making stops at terminal E:
    55-All terminals
    66-All terminals/water shuttle dock
    11-All terminals
    88-All terminals/parking lot

Any/all of those buses will make stops at terminals A through E. This is the best way to get from your terminal to the international terminal to pick up your friend. If you chose to walk within the airport, it can be done but it is a long, long walk and most people do not care to do it.

Once you get off at terminal E, go in on the lower level, which will be the level you exit the bus on. Enter into any door and you will find the international arrivals customs/immigration exit doors. It is located to the right of the restrooms and the left of the only restaurant/bar you will find in the lower level. Also to the left of the Dunkin Donuts.

As an aside, if you will be using public transportation to get to your destination once leaving the airport, you can take bus 33 to the subway_s airport station which you can take into Boston for $2.

  • terminal E is where the international arrivals come in. That_s probably your best bet. Remember that it will also take him time to clear customs and immigration. And you can_t have your phone on in line. So have him call you before he gets off the plane.
  • How old do I have to be to stay in a hotel?|197005

My friend and I are going on a trip and we need to stay in a hotel. How old do you have to be? My friend is 16 and I_ll be 15 and 11 months. Just like a Motel 6 or something cheap.

  • I believe most hotels require at least 18. One I stayed in required at least one person to be at least 21. Your best bet is to call and ask. Some places might not check, but if you look young they might.

  • The hotels that take cash should let you guys in. Because most hotels will take credit and only 18+ have credit legally.

  • get parent to sign a form or something saying it_s ok for you to stay there. call them, they should be able to help you.

  • Take them to Tombstone. It is south of Tuscon, and the home of the OK Corral. Also, you can drive over to Nogales Mexico, and do some bartering. My family and I did that trip and enjoyed it.

How do you get to UC Davis from SF via public transit?|164019

How exactly? I know you take the Amtrak but where? Can anyone give me a detailed answer step by step? How long does it take and how much? How frequent do they run?

  • Get yourself to the Amtrak bus station, either at the Westfield Mall or on the Embarcadero. It takes you over to the station in Emeryville. Catch the train, get off at the downtown Davis station. It_s about a ten-minute walk to campus, or you can catch the Unitrans A bus.

    Amtrak_s number: (800) 872-7245

  • take BART from SF to Richmond. From there you can board the Capitol Corridor Amtrak train. No idea what the time on it would be. I have taken the train from Fairfield to Sacramento and it is approximately 45 minutes.

  • Capitol Corridor.
  • How big is the abercrombie and fitch store in NYC?|148932

Hey just wanna know what is the Abercrombie _ fitch store in NYC like?
How much of a mens collection do they have , do they have much of an accessory range for men also ?
Also whats the difference between A_C and Hollister Clothing quality/price wise??
    Thanks for your help

  • it_s hugeee !! it_s got like idk how many floors about 4 or fivee and each floor is like on mini store within it self i really don_t know about the me stuff cause i mean .. im not a guy but yeah it_s a really pretty store if your talking about the one near 58th cause i think that_s like a major one the other ones kinda like on a boardwalk that ones a lil smaller .. but yeah it_s a really cool stoore with guys outside .. and its not that crowded to like purchase stuff none of those really long lines :]

  • Hollister Co.,Abercrombie _ Fitch, abercrombie, and Gilly Hicks are all owned by the same company so technically they aren_t rivals and most dedicated shoppers know that Abercrombie _ Fitch and abercrombie are more NY glam wear, but Hollister is more CA surf wear, and Gilly Hicks is more of the underwear (or VS) version of them both (although they do sell clothes) Also, Hollister is aimed to sell their clothes to High Schoolers (the sizes are smaller, thus the price is cheaper) Abercrombie _ Fitch is aimed to sell their clothes to College aged kids (the sizes are bigger, thus the prices are bigger) abercrombie(note it_s not called Abercrombie Kids, just abercrombie) is aimed to sell their to preteens (same rule as Hollister) And Gilly Hicks is an undergarnet store, but it also sells clothes is aimed for College age (same rule as Abercrombie _ Fitch)

  • Don_t know too much about the men_s section but the store itself is 3 stories, very loud and very crowded. So I_m guessing there has to be a good selection of men_s clothes if the store is that big. I think that both Hollister and A_F are way over priced and usually the material they use to make the clothes never lasts.
  • What is the best bar in Boston to watch a Red Sox away playoff game in Boston?|183043

I am going to be in Boston on Saturday night and am wondering where the best bar to watch the ALCS will be. I am a die hard fan and am coming down from Maine. I_ve been to Gillian_s and that has been fun! Any other suggestions?

  • 2 of my favorite places are right next to each other - DJ_s at the Garden http://www.djsatthegarden.com/ or The Greatest Bar http://www.thegreatestbar.com - DJ_s is less crowded than the Greatest bar and does not charge a cover.

  • the Best Sports Bar in Boston, Is the Best place to Watch the Game

  • anywhere in southy!! great place to hang with actual hard core locals! not the snooty fans that go by the stadium! the house that was in good wil hunting is there!

  • Game On! is usually a pretty cool place to be at for Red Sox games.

  • Phoenix Landing in Central Sq., Cambridge...its a fun type of crowd.

  • Cask and Flagon - however I doubt you could make a bad choice.
