It_s a desert, so bring your lip balms and lotions, because you_ll need them. Plan on being thirsty all the time from the dry air, which will suck every molecule of possible moisture from your entire body.
As for looking awkward, this is California - remember? The land of anything goes, the land of flakes, fruits and nuts. We_re just one big, happy bowl of granola out here, so I_m sure you_ll fit right in no matter what you wear, but if you go for classic pieces that fit well and are comfy, you_ll be just fine. If you do want to make a statement, however, make it with your shoes, and your jewelry. One thing you won_t need is a blazer of any kind, or any kind of fitted jacket unless you_re here for business, or unless it looks rockin_ with a pair of jeans and some strappy high heeled sandals.
As for how cold it_ll be, plan on warm days into the 70_s or possibly up into the 80_s, but brisk nights into the 50_s (well, the 50_s are brisk to us Los Angelenos, anyway).

the closer you get to your date for travel. We do, on occasion, get rain but not usually in November, so it_s not likely ... but it_s possible. I just looked in on the almanac, and today it was 69 degrees in Palm Springs, but a year ago it was over 100, and 2 years ago it was in the high 90s. Maybe you can enter the dates you plan to travel and see how it_s been for the last 5 years for an idea of what to expect. That_s an idea :D
Have a great time !!
