We would like classy venues, perhaps r n b music and cocktails? We would also like to see a good band if anyone has any reccommendations, we are visiting the second week of December? Many thanks.

West Village, SoHo definately.

Check out McDougal Street, Washington Square Park area, and West 4th Street.

All have so much going on at night that fits your (our) age group.

Bring plenty of money!

Nice classy, r_b venues:

Fashion 40 (located at 40th and 7th). Check it out on a Friday evening. The crowd is mostly black and professional.

The Den in Harlem (131st and 5th)

Moca Bar and Grill (119th and Frederick Douglas)- try it on a weekday evening. The crowd is a little rowdier on the weekend.

Kanvas Bar (23rd and 9th)
