Directions:
Only 30 minutes (or less) from all of N.W. Indiana and south suburban Chicago, 60 minutes from O_Hare airport, Joliet IL, South Bend or Lafayette, IN, and a little over 2 hours from Indianapolis.
Located 4.5 miles east of I-65 on U.S. Highway 30.
Then there are these great places north and west of the city. Low cost admission and pretty fun, too.

Also about an hour west of the city is Starved Rock. Great for hiking and outdoor fun. Picnics welcome and there is no admission charge.
Also - Joliet and kane County all have cheap minor leauge baseball that is great fun and very reasonable.
