Where can I take a family vacation with our dog who loves the outdoors?|120964

We are located in New York, so nothing further south than South Carolina, and nothing further west than whatever is next to Pennsylvania.
Our dog loves to go hiking with us and loves the beach. But we need _dog-friendly_ trails and beaches.

Some hotel will let you stay with your dog. Camping is the best vacation for the family and the dog. I heard that the mountain in Virginia and North Carolina. are the best.
