What can I do as a passenger on a 25 hour drive?|182418

I can_t read in the car I get sick, and we don_t have a DVD player in the car. I am a college student, but it will be during my break between finals and summer classes.

Buy an inverter that lets you power 110V appliances from the cigarette lighter (they_re about $25 at Wal-Mart and the prices are always coming down). There are a multitude of 110V appliances that can keep you entertained: a TV, a DVD player, a CD player, even a laptop computer with games. Another toy that might be fun to play with on a long trip is a GPS unit.

Get liquored up and listen to music.

You could always bring your cell phone, or laptop or sleep, or watch scenery, or bring a lot of magazines.

music is nice. get an ipod or even an old cassette walkman.
radio too, and get a map book to track your progress.

You can try to get a flight since 25 hours is a very long time.

But if you absolutely HAVE to but cant read/ no dvd player there are some options:

Purchase a portable DVD player.. alot of them have good battery life and you should be able to knock out a few good movies on the way

Listen to the radio or bring something such as an ipod to listen to your own music

Try and get comfortable and sleep

Bring something like a Gameboy or PSP.. some sort of gaming device

there are many options if you just think.. Hope the trip goes well!

you could read, play on a gameboy, play sudoku, do word games, sleep, and play games that have to do with license plates like see who gets the most plates with their state they picked

play the celebrity name game. you take the first letter of the celebrities last name and think of someone who has that letter as the firt letter of their first name. ex: brad pitt- peter jennings- jennifer aniston- andy dick- david spade, and so on. take a coloring book and some crayons. music. word search.
