What is the warmest vacation spot in the USA during winter?|142453

My family and I usually travel to the US during winter (only time of the year available for me to go on vacation due to my job.) We have found a lot of nice cities along the way but always rainy and cloudy: Miami, LA, San Diego, Orlando. I was wondering where else could we go and try without dealing the lousy climate.

san diego or miami .... san diego i live there and its about 70 degrees and normally always sunny during the day thats the best climate in my opinion . miami also has a pretty decent climate its warmer but it will be more rainier... so if you dont like it raining that much dont go there. but if ou lik it warm and rainy choose miami. otherwise choose san diego... san diego is a lil expensive of course . average hotel costs are $100-500 each if u want to stay downtown stay at the westin ... its a good hotel with valet parkin and stuff and you can get rooms as low as $150 its called _westin horton plaza_ if your richer than that go up to la jolla or coronado . for some cool nice places byt the beach. carlsbad in san diego is also pretty good. i don really know alot about miami but i know alot about the weather hope i helped anyway********************if you really want it warm and definite no rain at all pheonix,arizona is #1 warmest in winter but there aint much there ;)*********

Rainy and cloudy in Florida? You must have had bad luck. I lived in Florida for 3 years, the weather is not usually bad for that long.

What time does Warped Tour usually start and end?|122948

I_m Jenn, and me and my friend Sarah are going to Warped Tour on August 2nd at Tinley Park, IL, and we need to know what time it starts and ends so that we can get our train tickets.

The gates open to get in 11 AM.
I_m not sure what time it ends offically, but you can leave whenever you want to.
Last year I left around 9:30 PM

If you want to meet band members I would say stay as long as you can. This year I_m going to stay since a lot of the band members walk around after their sets and everything.

usually around 11, and it ends around 10 or 11 too. Get there early because there is no way of knowing what time bands are playing untill you get there and the worst is when u get there 2 hours late and you find out youve missed your favorite band

Ticketmaster says that the gates open at 11 and bands start playing at 12. It says it ends at 9:30, but last year we stuck around to get autographs and such.

When I went last year the doors opened at 10 and it ended at 9-10ish

What is the cheapest airport shuttle from NE Portland to PDX?|120858

I live in NE Portland and am only 5 or 10 (max) miles from PDX. I have a 6 AM flight so too early for the bus/max and I don_t want to drive. Any tips on the cheapest way to get there, like flat rate shuttle? I can cab it for about $20 but that seems like a lot when I can hear the roar of jet engines over my head at my house. Any tips most appreciated!

Check the schedule below. MAX begins running at around 03:30. At the Rose Quarter either the 4:13am or 4:43am lines would get you to the airport by 5:11. That_s probably early enough.

I_ve heard that Circus Circus is overrun by kids. I personally would neve take a child to Vegas when there are so many other options available. Vegas in my mind will always be an _adults only_ vacation spot.

unfortunately, because this town is driven by greed and money, and not families (for example Treasure Island, now known as TI, put a club in the casino/hotel _ got rid of the pirate show. vegas is all about partying _ gambling), there aren_t a ton of things you can do, but this link will give you some.

My mother passed away last year and I_m trying to dedicate something to her, preferably in the Marine Park area in Brooklyn or in Manhattan. I know that you can dedicate a bench in the Central Park for seven thousand dollars but thats too expensive for me and is beyond my reach. Any ideas?

Is Maui a good destination for a family with two young kids?|148824

So we have two young kids, 4-year-old and 1-year-old respectively. I_ve heard people saying you go to Oahu to see the culture and to Maui for natural scenes and beach sports. Is that true? If it is, is that a good idea to bring the kids to Maui? Any more suggestion on where to go and what to do in that island is appreciated!

In my opinion, Maui_s best attraction for young children is the Maui Ocean Center. It_s one of the country_s best aquariums and it will probably keep your 4-year-old fascinated for hours. The beaches are wonderful too.

Yeah! I went there a few years ago with my parents and it was awesome! Your kids will love it even though they are so little. They have some beaches that are really good for kids and its a lot of fun. Gosh i forgot what they are called its on the tip of my tongue but there are party type things with Hawaiians and dancing and food and i went there when i was 7 and that was pretty cool. There are many things you can look into kid wise so i think its a really good place to bring kids! :D

Sure especially if you stay in a kid friendly resort. but depending on where you live, the flight might be too long for them. I want to go there so bad but i live in NY and I can_t stand an 11 hour flight. But i think it would be a wonderful place for your kids to visit. good luck and have fun =)
