How to get 8 college girls and their luggage from Indianapolis, IN to Panama City Beach, FL?|178548

We are checking into our resort at 3pm on March 8 and leaving on March 15. None of our families have large vehicles or will let us take our own cars. Any ideas would be helpful!

  • A grey hound bus wouldn_t be that bad since all of you would be going together. But the station is on the other side of town so you_ll need to call a taxi to drive you all the way out to the beach. (Or call the resort you are staying at to see if they can provide transportation)

  • Bus, Train, Flight, Multiple car road trip

  • You could try sending it through on the Grey hound bus, call and see if they still do that.
  • Whats the best way to get from Logan Airport to North Station?|177481

I have a friend coming in sometime and I need to know the best way to get from Logan to North Station. I don_t suggest using a car since we_ll be walking most of the time. Which way would be the most convenient?

  • Either take the subway, blue line inbound to govt center and switch to the green line outbound to North Station.

Or take a cab. It_s not that far - I used to live a couple blocks past North Station and after a long flight, I_d usually take a cab home. It_s a pretty quick ride.

  • Don_t even THINK about a car. Take the Logan Shuttle from your terminal to the Blue Line Airport stop. Get on the Blue Line going inbound to Government Center. Walk up the stairs to the Green Line, take any car outbound two stops to North Station. Total cost -- $2.00 per person, anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on time of day.

  • take the silver line bus to south station, and catch the red line to Park street and take the green line right to north station.
  • What are good overnight winter camps in South California?|168517

Co-Ed. And also preferably cheap, for around 14 days.
Also that it will have nothing to do with religion and any specific skill.
NOTE: for ages up till 16/17.
I_m 15 years old and wouldn_t mind be a counsler either!

  • Wow, two questions like this in two days.

Actually, most camps are designed for kids 8-12, and the majority of them are in the summer. At most camps, 15YO_s are Jr Counselors (or CIT_s, Counselors in Training). You can find a list of camps in SoCal (there are hundreds) at
    http://www.acacamps.org.

Camp isn_t cheap. If you go as a CIT, prepare to work a lot. You don_t pay to go (and you don_t get paid, either), but you do a lot of work in exchange for staying there.

  • Unfortunately, most of the reservations for almost any camping area are booked way in advance; sometimes months up to one year !!. You will not find anything for this year, but you can look at www.sbcounty.org for another time

  • What are some things for a young couple to do in the Florida Keys?|103001

We thinking about making a trip in December. My boyfriend and I are both 24 and are thinking about making stops in several different Keys and plan to stay about 5 days. What are some fun things to do in the Keys? Looking for ideas for activities, day trips, restaurants, hotels, etc.... Nothing too expensive though, we have a limited budget! We will be driving down from North Florida and neither of us have ever been to the Keys before. What are some of the don_t miss places to go and things to do?

  • I_ve been there many times. The drive from the top of the Keys to Key West is amazing....you have the Atlantic on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other...it_s almost like floating on the water. In December the water is cool, but you can still swim....at least in Key West.
Here are some of my favorite things to do
    1. swimming with dolphins

    http://www.dolphins.org/

    2. snorkel or take a glass bottom boat trip through John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park

    http://www.pennekamppark.com/snorkeling.

    3. watch the sunset at Market Square in Key West and then watch all the performers and enjoy the street fair.
I camped at Bahia Honda State park, but they have cabins there now you can rent. The entire Bahia Honda Key is designated as the Bahia Honda State Park and allows overnight seaside camping as well as RV_s and cabin accommodations in one of the most beautiful island and beach settings imaginable.
    http://www.florida-tourism.net/florida-k

Here_s a site with all the local newspapers. You want to check and see what_ll be happening when you_re there so you can plan in advance.
Here_s another site (with a picture of the 7 mile highway that connects the keys) that has events...right now there aren_t any listed for December, but there will be later on.

Then of course there are the night spots, the fantastic restaurants.... you will love your trip!

  • Scuba! If you are not certified then find a place where you can take an introductory course.

You can find more info at: www.padi.com

  • In this order:

    1. Make love.

    2. Drink mojitos.

    3. Eat conch.

    Rinse, repeat.

  • -Absolutely go to Bahia Honda State park, you can camp or rent a cabin, they have snorkeling trips every day.
-You should go to Key West and walk through Duval Street at night on a saturday night (They have very nice nightlife, its lost of fun, nice bars and clubs)
-Have lots of seafood and key lime pie

    Have fun!

What are most beautiful campsites in northern California, besides Yosemite?|164188

I_ve been to Yosemite a few times and i love it but is there a Campsite that you love to got in northern California, hours form San Francisco?

    Thank you.

  • Lake Tahoe is around 3 and a half to 4 hours from the Bay Area and has some great camping. One of my favorites is Emerald Bay State Park. It_s very forested with granite boulders and on the lake. It_s gorgeous! For more info:
    http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=506

  • It_s not exactly hours from San Francisco, but one beautiful place I love to camp is Big Basin State Park. Here is a link so that you can see it_s beauty for yourself.

    http://www.bigbasin.org/

  • One of my favorites is Samuel P. Taylor state park in Marin county. Lots of redwoods and not too far from anything. I also love Lassen National park. It is not visited all that much compared to Yosemite, but it has a beautiful swimming lake and lots of cool history and is not too crowded. Then there is Fowler creek campground with a view of Mt Shasta and has it_s own waterfall. So I just gave you 3 to check out.

  • There are several state run campgrounds along the coast north and south of San Francisco that are awesome. One of our favorites is Sunset Beach just south of Santa Cruz, near Watsonville. Plus it is a great park for kite flying -stunt and fixed kites.

  • screw. play chess.

  • Just one word...BUFFET!

  • You can visit Hoover Dam; Lake Mead; Red Rock Canyon; The Liberace Museum; Madame Toussand_s Wax Museum; take in an inexpensive show or two; eat, eat, and eat!

  • the las vegas strip is gorgeous at night. the casinos are not all about gambling. they have boat rides inside a casino called the venetian. very romantic. and they have very good restaurants. and there_s a lot of attractions like downtown las vegas in the fremont experience. at night there, there is a dome show thats so cool. and how about fishing at lake mead. they have boats for rent. and there_s a mall right off the strip called the fashion show mall. very good attraction. and the magic show at monte carlo hotel and casino is very good. the comedy the producers at the paris is a good way to get a laugh.

  • Definately go downtown, they have GREAT food for cheap. Binions has a restaurant in the back of the casino downstairs.

  • Food food and more food. They have tons of cheap buffets with some good food. Also there are lots of little interesting museums and free shows to visit. Like Ripley_s Believe it or not and the Magic shows at many of the casinos.

  • See the Beliago waters, the Treasure Island Show, see the Mirage Volcano(all free). Walk around the Cesears Mall, and the Planet Hollywood (formally Aladdin) Miracle Mile of shops. There is a couple of short shows with animatronics in Cesears. Go see the Tigers in the Mirage .(all free). My last trip out there I spent $25 to go see the Wax Museum in the Ventitan Hotel which was so cool! You get to go up to the wax celebrities and touch them and take pictures with them.

  • stay at the motel6 just off of the strip, eat at McD_s or one of the many bargain places advertised, and get a players club card from every casino possible. The players club cards have many freebies for you. and some even will give you cash when you enroll.

What are some activities to do in Orlando FLorida?|150707

I am going to orlando florida from march 19 to march 24. We are flying from chicago. What are some good things to do while in florida. And where are some of the nice beaches?

  • Stayed there not too long ago myself. Here_s the attractions page of the hotel we stayed it, it hits a lot of the big attractions.

    http://www.hiinternationaldriveorlandoho

You_ll be fairly close to Cocoa Beach from Orlando. It_s located about 60 miles out and is well worth the drive. Really awesome!

  • That_s funny, me and my family will be there then. We are going to a mystery dinner theather on Internation Dr. I have been to Fl. manyh times and this is something I have never done. Daytona is close by and Tampa isnt to far of a drive. All kinds of theme parks as I_m sure you know. There are also airboat trips you can take and the alligator farm is ok also. I think its a little pricey but fun to go once.
Have fun. I know we will.

  • Disney world, universal studios and islands of adventure, Seaworld, Busch gardens, Discovery cove, Aquatica. You will have to drive a bit for a natural beach.

  • ummmm... go to DISNEY WORLD lol. But besides that, there are tons of nice things to do in Florida. Visit Key West or Tampa if you are up for a drive

  • Key West, but not for beaches, more for boating. Beaches, New Smyrna Beach, its a lot less crowded than Daytona
