Im planning on a camping trip and need some ideas. We are planning on going to Carmel, any other sights, fun things to do?

Go see the waterfall in one of the parks, stop by a Nepentha restaurante and enjoy the view and a cup of capuchino ;)
Go to Monterey, just enjoy the town (I love it!) Visit the Aquarium - you_ll have fun!

The most exciting thing in the Big Sur is watching the grass grow.

Big Sur has some wonderful art galleries. Also, a quick drive south on Pacific Coast Highway will get to you to San Simeon where Hurst Castle is located. It is a MUST SEE ! ! !

What are some pretty areas in Philadelphia to move to?|143957

I am looking for an area in Philly that is pretty, well kept, lots of greenery, hip, and has educated professionals. I was looking into Fitler Square, but I don_t know much about that or any of the other areas. Any suggestions?

I live in Manayunk and I really like it. There_s not a lot of trash there. The Northeast near Bustleton has some nice areas too.

Society Hill
Fairmount
Fishtown
Queens Village
Bella Vista
Passyunk Square
East Falls


It really depends how much you cana afford too, but those are the hip areas in the city. If you_re under 25, Manayunk is cool, a big bar scene but can be a bit post-collegiate/fratboy. And in the suburbs Conshohocken is cool, with a decent bar/resturant scene. Check out craigslist for places to rent.

the problem with philly is the same problem with every old northeastern city...the relatively safe neighborhoods are usual the high income neighbor hoods..Forget anything within 1/2 mile of cityhall as far as living, Im going to assume that u want a home to live in and that area is over priced...hows 700 square feet for $100,000 sound?..Fitler square is nice but expect to pay $350,000 for a row house story 18/45..and just 1/4 of mile from their is drug riddle neighborhoods and the parking is horrible..Your best bet is West Mt Airy, Far Northeast philly, Packard Park, Chestnut Hill, Andorra/Roxborough/manyunk areas. Good luck.

East Falls... You are on the edge of Manyunk, so there are the trendy bars and everything. You are minutes from the Art Museum and Philadelphia Zoo...
Income level doesn_t matter too much, as there are some really rich houses, and some reasonably priced ones also... Philadelphia University is right here too...
I had my doubts about moving to the area, but I_m glad I live in East Falls.

The answer that fits your desires most would be the Mt. Airy or Chestnut Hill sections of the City. They are, however, mostly detached dwellings. Located in the Northwest they have two rail lines, are adjacent to Fairmount Park, have great restaurants, and have easy access to Center City. Some parts of Germantown would also fit your description; especially if you have an interest in Victorian architecture.

You_re better off outside the city somewhere. I hope you_re set financially.

What are the good restaurants at Epcot and Hollywood Studios in Disney?|154574

Is the restaurant where you sit in car seats any good? Has anyone ever eaten there?

There are a few restaurants in each park that are very good places to eat. Here are a few of our favorites:

Disney Studios:

Sci-Fi Drive in - eat in cars while watching old sci-fi movie footage. Food was great, price not outrageous (as compared to other Disney restaurants), and the atmosphere was really cool. We ate here when we visited in March, and my kids loved it.

50_s Prime Time Cafe - Eat in a kitchen with _Mom_ or _Auntie_ as your server. Better eat all your veggies and keep your elbows off the table, or you will hear about it. Food was good, pretty much what you would expect from a 50_s type restaurant.

Hollywood Brown Derby - Signature dining for Disney. More of an upscale place to eat. Good food, but more of a fancy meal than a fun one, in my opinion.

Mama Melore_s Restorante Italiano - Outstanding italian food, Great atmosphere.


Epcot:
Le Celier - Canada - Good steakhouse. The food was excellent and the price was not as bad as I expected, for a restaurant on Disney property.

Nine Dragons restaurant - China- some of the best Chinese food that I have ever had. Nice selection, decent prices.

La Cantina De San Angel - Mexico - Excellent for Mexican cuisine, and I am not a big fan of the spicy food. You sit along a waterway and eat with an exploding volcano in the background. One of our top 5 in all of Disney.

Biergarten restaurant - Germany - I love German food, and this buffet was worth every penny.

The only restaurant I do not recommend in Epcot is the Electric Umbrella or the American Pavillion in the U.S.A. These were not so good when we tried them, food was dry an pretty tasteless, not worth the money.

Those are our favorites for the places you asked about, but there are a whole bunch more. I would suggest checking out the disboards. The disboards is a message boards website all about going to Disney. You can get restaurant reviews and suggestions, resort reviews, tips for avoiding crowds, and more info than you can possibly imagine. I would also check out the Disney website and use their dining finder. Tons of info there as well.

Sci Fi Dine In, was the only other resturant that my two year old nephew would sit still and behave in (Crystal palace being the other). There is alot to see in there. Otherwise when i was there in January the Brown Derby was extremely nice (great bartender too) we purchased the option where you had reserved seating for the fireworks too. If you are with kids the Hollywood on vine it a great character dining, and offers more of the buffett style. as for epcot, the resturant in Mexico is really nice, and so it the yakatori house.

I Would Suggest you and your family go down to Downtyown Disney, which I believe is close to Epcot, there is plenty of shopping and dining.. Including, Rainforest Cafe, McDonalds, Plant Hollywood, and More.. and there is this one super nice place, i forget the name of it, but its beside Planet Hollywood, is super nice, but highly over-priced, we ate their this past summer, For me, my brother, Mom and her bf, it was like $130.00.. but if you can afford it, I WOULD SUGGEST GOING THERE..

Sci Fi Dine In- MGM, Cost: Medium, Grade: A+. I love Sci Fi, for the feeling, and the food is good. You sit in _Drive In_ cars, or Flying Sauser chairs, and they play movie previews from movies in the 50s and 60s. It_s a lot of sun, aspecially is you have children, 6+. Younger ones might not like the dark, and some images of _Monsters_ but they do play cartoon- space related things, like the cat who hates people, and tom and Jerry.



Le Cellier: Epcot: World Showcase: Canada: Grade A: Our family usually goes to Le Cellier once each trip. The prices are fairly high, but just as much as you might find at some place like Longhorn (I think that is what it is called) It_s a steak house, so you have to reason prices. Kids can get the usuall Disney favorite, chicken or hotdogs, but they can also get a kids steak. The feeling there is so cool. You are litterally underground, so it is colder, but it is very nice there.

World SHowcase: Pigging Out Around The World, as we like to call it. There is a resteraunt in every country. Some are sit downs and some are sit downs, or take outs. If you don_t want reservations take your time and see what each country has.

(Downtown Disney is 15+ minutes from Epcot and MGM..... and it takes forever by bus, sometimes an hour with all the stops!)

I think you mean the Sci-Fi Restaurant at Hollywood Studios..and yes it_s GREAT! I love their chicken caesar salad! I go to Disney every year and that_s one place I make sure to stop at.

Also I really like the Japanese restraunt at Epcot. I am not sure what it_s called. I am sure you can find it!

The Sci-Fi Drive in is the one in Hollywood Studios. You sit in _cars_ under the stars watching old Sci-Fi movies at a drive in. Yes The food is good, and the atmosphere is fun.

We were just there at the end of May but make reservations! or the wait is long. Also try a shake...very thick and good.

Citibank bought it so I think its the Citi Wang Theatre. Its 2 or 3 stories, not very big.

What is the best area to live in and what are the best schools in Houston, TX?|108154

We are relocating to Houston for my husband_s new job. We have two children in elementary school. We are looking for some input on the area and schools.

Best suburb but closest to the city, Sugar Land. Good schools here also. This is your best option if you want to be close enough to Houston to actually enjoy Houston. This is probably Houston_s most diverse suburb as well. Katy is second. Clear Lake 3rd.

Most fun suburb, Clear Lake. Okay schools. Near the water and a short drive to Galveston.

Nice suburb, The Woodlands. But it_s SO far from Houston. At least it_s really nice and there_s some good shopping options. Most people who live in The Woodlands don_t frequent to Houston often unless if it_s for work. I don_t know much about the schools here but I trust them to be good like Sugar Land if not better.

If you plan to live in Houston, all the schools are okay. Probably Bellaire High School in Bellaire, TX is the best and it_s pretty much inside Houston. Also Memorial area is nice, especially with all the towering pine trees.

I just moved from around there to TN. Go north houston, try outside of houston. when you say houston, do you really mean downtown houston? cause if so, dear god, that sucks. but if you mean something like conroe, thats cool. the schools in Houston area suck. i assume you are making more than 85k a year or so, if so, then i would live as far away from his job as possible and let him commute halve an hour or so. Houston really is a shat hole. Heck, College Station is an hour and a half from Downtown houston. try that community, great schools, good place to live. taxes not too bad. etc

In Cypress the schools are on the top of the rest of the schools in the Houston area.My parents live in Cypress is the best sschools.It might cost you about $100.00 ever school year to let the childern go there.The best schools are Spillane Middle School and Brikes Elementary School.Brikes is Cypress but it is still a great school.I hope you enjoy youself in the H-Town.

the best school i would reccomend is stafford elementry and forrester elementry

I live in the Magnolia (NW of Houston in Montgomery County) its kinda quiet out here. I have heard the schools are good. Taxes are real low also. You might want to check out the Ranch Crest subdivision of FM 1488-West of Magnolia. - near the Waller county line.

I moved here a few months ago from the dry desert and I just can_t take these muggy hot summer days. When does autumn start in NYC?

The weather begins to cool in mid september, but it stays warm and comfortable into November.

It will vary every year because of the different weather patterns..etc..
...but I like to say Mid September and beyond is where the weather normally begins to shift.

This July was actually not bad in terms of heat.....August seems to be murderous so far....

I think your going to find this weather more bearable unlike our winter weather in January, Feb and March.....The wind chill in NYC can be pretty intense....mix that with Ice and snow.....thats going to be fun experience for you.... =)

We are traveling to Denver. We are going to rent a car and drive to Yellowstone. Does anyone have any car rental advice? Any Amtrak tips? (traveling with a 5yo and a 8 yo) Any help at all with be appreciated.

well I_m not sure where you coming from but I_m sure you realize that salt lake city would be way closer. also I don_t know when your leaving. however don_t be too disappointed if your train is late that dose happen (especially east of saint Lois) also be sure to plan your layovers well, they can be a great way to see a bunch of cities on one trip.

some road in Yellowstone are closed in winter. don_t forget sunscreen you can get sunburn really fast even in the winter, don_t forget to get any permits you may need :
