I use Bank of America. I purchase Euros there before a trip and when I return, I deposit the left over Euros into my account at the current exchange rate.

Go to PDX airport. They have currency exchange booths in there for the international flights.

What is there to do for enjoyment in Holland, Michigan?|117043

I am planning on visiting Holland, Michigan in July 2009 for a day and I was wondering what is there to do and see while in Holland, Michigan? Also, what is the best hotel to spend the night at if I decided to spend the night at a hotel in the area. Finally, what are some good restaurants to eat at while in Holland?

The beaches are beautiful. I recommend the state park or Kirk park. I think tunnel park sucks. Grand Haven is the best beach but it is a bit of a drive and the town is a zoo.
There is a really nice winery in Fennville that has wonderful tours and good wine. Also in Fennville is a quaint restaurant at Cranes orchard. It features deserts. Most of the restaurants in Holland suck. For a great steak go to Tony_s in Muskegon.

there has little nightlife to do, but there has a nice beach if you like.

i would choose to stay in Grand Rapids, (35-45mins drive from Holland). there is more night life, and party happening.

near the beach, there has some restaurant and in summer, the shops are even nicer. very cool.

They have the Tulip Festival in June. Other then that you can also swim in Lake Michigan.

To combine thrill seeking _ great scenery consider renting a All Terrain Vehicle) four wheeler) A side by side ATV like the Yamaha Rhino would be a blast. There are many of these rental outlets all across the west. Depending on what kind of scenic areas you enjoy _ season you are visiting would help you to decide where to go. One suggestion is:
South-Central Utah_s 275-mile long Paiute ATV Trail is a loop trail with no beginning and no end! It passes through several towns and has side trails leading to others. Dirt Wheels magazine rated the Paiute ATV Trail as one of the best 15 trails in the country. It has been rated as one of the top 5 trails in the country by ATV Illustrated magazine. Many riders consider the Paiute Trial to be the top US trail. This is a good ride in the early spring or fall.

For music history, the first thing that comes to mind is Nashville, TN, as well as Elvis_ home Graceland, also in Tn

I would go to Mackinaw Island, MI. If it were my choice. They have a website, I am not sure what it is but just put Mackinaw Island, MI in your search engine. There are no cars allowed on the island so it is nice island you can just walk around at your own pace. Hope this helps.

My favorite has always been Mesa Verde, Colorado. It_s a national park. Stay in the Far View Lodge. The lodge is on top of the mountain at 8000 feet and at night you can see for 200 miles in every direction.

If you get tired of dead indians in the park, Arches monument and Zion canyon are close by, as is four corners.

Maybe Seattle? It_s beautiful over there with greenery all over. Also, the city center is really nice, lots of stuff to do, shop, visit museums, sightsee. I think there is a Music Experience museum over there.

You could also go snowboarding if you plan to go during snow season. Mt. Rainier is pretty close to there so I_m sure there are a lot of activities, such as hiking or mountain biking.

It_s also only a three-hour drive to Vancouver, so you could pop on over there for a day or two to see the city.

If you like the outdoors, Cooperstown New York. It_s a small _baseball_ town, but you truly get an _outdoorsy_ feeling.

San fransisco thru the Redwoods to Astoria Oregon, finish with Portland Oregon.

NOrth Shore of Minnesota - quite the _artsy_ community in Grand Marais and you could swing over to Hibbing to soak in some Bob Dylan.

Eureka Springs, Arkansas sounds exactly like what you want.

niagra falls may be touristy, but if you haven_t been there, it really is amazing and awe-inspiring. i highly recommend visiting. also, national parks like those in california and washington are beautiful. hike up the waterfall mt. vernal in california_s yosemite.

Yes, the 11 hour trip requires 2 transfers in Buffalo _ Cleveland.
Bus leaves Toronto @ 6:45 AM and arrives in Columbus @ 5:45 PM.

Where to stay while traveling to Boston for a Sox game then off to Maine for a week?|125527

We are rookies in Boston and wondering how difficult the public transportation situation is in Boston. How far north could we stay out of town and still use public transporation to the Sox night game? Also any suggestions for an inexpensive hotel north of Boston on the public transportation line.

You could easily stay north of Boston - and save HUGE money on a Hotel. Say if you stayed in Woburn (about 15 minutes outside of Boston) you could jump on the train or commuter rail to get into town. I would not suggest to stay in Boston or you_ll be paying through your nose - And hey, you_ll be doing that at Fenway anyway so better to save your money in other ways! I would look for Hotels in either Woburn, Stoneham, or Medford - They are all on Rt 93 which is the way to Boston. Have fun!!

Midtown Hotel is about the cheapest and it_s across the strret from the 55 bus, that goes right to Fenway Park.

You can stay as far north as Newburyport, MA and ride the commuter rail to Boston North Station, then get on the green line to Fenway.

There are no motels close to the commuter rail station in Newburyport though, you would need to take a cab.

As long as the game doesn_t last much past 10 PM, you could stay in Maine and take the Amtrak Downeaster to Boston North Station. Then take the MBTA (subway) Green line to Kenmore Station then a 2 minute walk to Fenway.
