How long is the Memorial Park jogging trail in Houston Texas?|104177

My girlfriend and I recently went jogging and were wondering how much we jogged, we think its somewhere around 3 miles but we aren_t really sure, anyone know how accurate we are? Thanks.

3 mile exact from start to finish.

3 miles i am going there today they have these little square stones on the ground there stuck on the ground so you wont trip on it and they say like 2 1/2 and when your almost there its gonna say 3/4 and whenever you get to your car or wherever you started your done

Go to a Cubs game and hit up Michigan AVE. Navy Pier is a cool place too. Just spend a day in the downtown area and you_ll enjoy it.

Navy Pier, there_s bike paths by Lake Michigan, open mic nights at random cafes can be fun, go to the zoo.

The city of Chicago has everything. Anything you want you got it. Restaurants, shows, sports games, bike rides, just exploring. There are many restaurants in the city pizza, Mexican, Chinese. You just have to explore the neighborhoods. With it being late June you are lucky that the taste of Chicago is going so you have all the cities greatest restaurants and live music. It can be a whole day activity. You go to the north side of the city you have the shows, like blue man group at briar street theater. You can also see the more colorful areas of the city on the north side. Belmont and Clark have all your head shops and other crazy shops. Man theres just so much.

Navy Pier is always fun, shopping on Michigan Ave., Lincoln Park Zoo or Brookfield Zoo (it_s out of the city so you_d have to drive), Shedd Aquarium, or take a tour.

To be honest with you, aside from eating, not much... especially if you hate Museums, you miss out, because Chicago has many, many museums, and going to museums is what most visitors do.
I guess one thing left for you to do is the beach, which is OK for a while, and parks like Lincoln Park where there is a Zoo and a nice 19th century Greenhouse/conservatory.
.. What would I do, if I were there now? I would go to Greek town, or China/Vietnamtown (on the north side), find some cheap place to eat, or maybe some Mexican Restaurants in Logan Square. If it were Thursday or a weekend I_d find the _Reader_, newspaper and see whats up around town... I would also go down to UIC (University of Illinois at Chicago) and check the job listings and also maybe over to Fontano_s for a sub. (See? I mention some things to do, and three are eating!)

If you are 15, I imagine you won_t have much money with you to spend, so maybe head to Old Town and shop a little bit in the Psychedelic shops, -what is left of them anyway since the 60_s-, or to Newtown, north up by Belmont and Broadway and find some used book shops...
Near Lincoln and Fullerton You_ll find the old Biograph Theater where Dillinger was shot dead, and also near there are also some used book shops...

You could see Wicked or Blue Man Group. There is Millenium Park too which is pretty cool

We_re heading to Vegas this weekend for our 10th anniversary, and have a room already booked at Bally_s, is it possible and how would we go about asking for a room upgrade for the special occasion.

Ask. If they_re not totally sold out, they_ll hook you up. I don_t know offhand what_s happening in Vegas this weekend (i.e. big events/conventions) but if it_s a concern, call the hotel and ask for the fax number and the name of the front desk manager. Send this person a fax telling them you_re coming in for this special event, and you chose to spend it there, and _if there_s anything that can be done to make this trip more special/memorable_, you_d REALLY appreciate it. At the very least, you_ll get either a fruit basket or a free dinner.

forget telling them its your anniversary there are thousands of people celebrating all sorts of things and the checkin clerks are immune to this i am afriad. However all is not lost hard cash works look here ;-)

Anywhere in Wisconsin Dells. That place is so much fun.

Neverland Pool at the Disneyland Hotel is pretty nice, it measures 5000 square feet and has Peter Pan/Captain Hook themed stuff around it.

Warner Hot Springs,......by San Diego out in the country or desert.......it has a 50 by a 100 ft. cool pool plus a 50 by a 100 ft. hot sulfur pool..built around trees and theirs little cabins everywhere........I_m telling ya you_d love it

The hotel pools at the walt disney world resorts are awesome.. BUT the rooms are really small.

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It had a wave pool and its in a Shopping mall.......cool stuff!!!

I once stayed in this hotel in Waikiki.

Anyway they had this great hotel pool that they called the PACIFIC OCEAN.

And the great thing about it was they couldn_t care less if you pissed in it.

We are already planning on going to the zoo, Sea world, and maybe Disneyland, do you think you could tell me a little more on them, too? My kids are 13 and 16.

ZOO: Animals up close, better for actually seeing them.
Wild Animal Park: Animals for away. Very Hot. Tons and Tons of walking.
Disneyland: Fun for all ages.
Balboa Park: Historical San Diego with museums (One your children will love is the Science Center, it sounds geeky but it really isn_t. It is very fun inside.)
Seaport Village and Coronado are fun tourist places.
Sea World is great. Get to touch all sorts of sea animals. Shark and Penguin Encounter is very fun!
Simply the beach. :-)

I personally like the Wild Animal Park better than the zoo. Sea World is really fun so definitely go there. Disneyland is fun if you_ve never been, but there is also Knott_s Berry Farm and Magic Mountain not too far from Disney. Since your kids are a little older, they might enjoy these parks more Also, a great place to go is Belmont Park in Mission Beach. It_s a fun family environment with a roller coaster and other small rides. Gaslamp (Downtown) has some great restaraunts and shopping. Seaport Village is nice but doesn_t have much to do...Have fun!

Since you want to spend some time at Disneyland, and some time in San Diego, you might want to stay in north San Diego county. There are a number of nice beaches and things to do in the north county. For example:

1. Visit Oceanside beach and nearby California Surf Museum. Make a beach bonfire and s_mores - the teens love that.

2. Visit Moonlight beach in Encinitas, which is the local teenager hangout, and check out old Encinitas on historic 101, as it is a unique old surfing town. The nearby Quail Botanical Gardens is also nice.

3. The Carlsbad lagoon is fun and inexpensive if you want to rent kayaks or wave runners from California Watersports. You can always hop over to the beach too if you like, try Carlsbad Tamarack beach.

4. La Jolla kayaking in the Sea Caves is definitely one of the best of San Diego adventures, a must for a San Diego family vacation, and something teenagers will like. It can get a little expensive for a family, but if you_ve never done it, it is worth it. Reservations are important and the earlier in the day the less crowded. The La Jolla Shores beach is very nice, with the clearest water in San Diego for snorkeling or just swimming.

5. Further south in San Diego is Mission Beach and Belmont Park. You can usually find $5 discount tickets online. We like it because you can visit Mission Beach, ride the rollercoaster and rides at Belmont Park, have ice cream on the boardwalk, picnic, walk or bike ride in Mission Bay park, swim at The Wave House Plunge swimming pool - lots of inexpensive things in one place. My teenagers love it!

6. They might want to go bodyboarding or surfing. There are many places that provide surfing lessons if they are interested.

7. Some fun non-beach activities for teens include the K1 speed racing in Carlsbad, or the Ultra Zone laser tag in San Diego.

8. Seaworld is nice, located in Mission Bay Park. My son has a season ticket and goes with his friends.

9. Zoo and Wild Animal Park are both nice. You get to see more animals close up in the Zoo, and the gardens there are beautiful. Personally I like the Wild Animal Park better, and taking a tour is good. We spent the night there once on their Roar n Snore, which was a blast. You might consider doing that - a little pricey but fun. It is only available limited nights.

Check out the surfers at historic Winansea Beach. At low tide you can walk out onto the tide pools. Walk along the Cove and check out the caves. Visit the Museum of Contemporary Art. Take a stroll on Prospect St and check out the shops, galleries, and have some authentic Mexican food and Alfonso_s. Then head to the Birch Aquarium at The Scripps Institution of Oceanography. It has a spectacular view of the bluffs over the Pacific Ocean.

Take the trolley from Downtown to Old Town. There is a state park there that recreates life in the Mexican and early American periods of 1821 to 1872. There are also a lot of resturants in the area. Pizza Bella has the best pizza in town as well as homemade Italian food.

What bus in manhattan do i take to get to the bronx?|152839

I live in Manhattan and I am trying to find a way to go to Metropolitan avenue in Parkchester in the bronx. What bus would i take to go there?

Just take the 6 train its much easier.

Depending on what part of Manhattan you_re living in, you will have to take multiple buses to get from Manhattan to Parkchester. My advice take the subway instead.
