How old do you have to be and are there any places that offer the chance for public-access shows, like mediacom? Please answer, my friends and I are 16 and wanted to start a show

If you cut out the labels how will they know that you bought them in New York? They may look new because you bought them to go to New York!!

Anyway, I am a New York regular and I always buy loads and have never been stopped. You watch next time I will now.

i suggest that you hardly take any clothes with you, then buy loads and wear some of it whilst your there. so the tags wont be on, but that shouldnt matter because you couldnt return it when u get back home anyway! that will mean if you do get stopped, the clothes will be slighlty more worn!

Big mistake cutting out the labels! Why is it against the law to buy things in NY anyway..................maybe you are in another country or something..............why not just box them and ship them to your home?? I_m confused.

if every does not have tags and no receipts found then you are fine.....make sure you don_t leave any shopping bags and boxes for them to suspect you got it recently....

Buy your items---all that you want and then SHIP them home via United Parcel Service... you still have to pay a duty but it will be much less then if you tried to bring the items back with you on the plane or boat or however you are getting back to Great Britian........besides, smuggling IS a crime...and you really do NOT want that kind of hassle... ESPECIALLY since the fines associated with this crime are more then TRIPLE what you would pay to have to parcels shipped home to you...

Here_s how to get from Staten Island Ferry Terminal in South Ferry to the Metropolitan Museum.

Step 1: take the uptown (northbound) _R_ or _W_ train (Yellow Line on the subway map) from Whitehall Street-South Ferry to Lexington Avenue-59th Street.

Step 2: at Lexington Avenue-59th Street, transfer downstairs to the #4 or 5 subway lines (Green Line). Take the uptown (northbound) #4 or 5 train from 59th Street to 86th Street.

Step 3: at 86th Street, transfer upstairs, at street level, to the M86 bus. Take the westbound bus, going to the West Side, from Lexington Avenue and 86th Street to 84th Street and 5th Avenue.

Walk into Battery Park and get an uptown 5 train at Bowling Green. Get off at 86th Street, walk west to 5th Avenue (if you walk east towards 3rd Avenue, you_re going the wrong way). At 5th, make a left and walk to that huge building across the street down a couple of blocks at around 82nd-83rd Streets. That_s it.

Alternatively, you can get an uptown R or W at Whitehall Street, and transfer to an uptown 4 or 5 at 14th Street/Union Square, then get off at 86th as described above.

Stop in DC and see the Smithsonian and any other major attractions you have not seen there. Spend the night in VA as the hotels are cheaper and you will be past the worst of the traffic. If you have already done DC in the past, then stop at Monticello. Then from DC your next stop should be Savannah, GA. Be sure to read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil before you go to Savannah. They call it _the book_ and refer to it. Take one of the trolley tours as they are reasonable and well worth it. We stop when we are driving up north from Tampa and we stay at the Comfort Suites in the historic district. It has free parking, free breakfast, an indoor pool and the rooms are large and wonderful. You can get a room with two queen size beds and a sleeper sofa so you can fit 6 in the room. It comes with a refrigerator-microwave. The tour buses pick up at the front door and the staff are all very nice. From Savannah drive directly to Tampa.

I_m going there this weekend and want to know of some good malls for a group of friends to go walk around and shop. Give names and locations.

wood field, gurnee mills, old orchard are the malls that come to my mind at least

Are you going to be actually IN Chicago? Some of the malls others have mentioned are not in Chicago but other surrounding cities and you probably need a car. If you_re talking about places IN Chicago, head for Michigan ave. In addition to Water Tower Place, a huge indoor mall, there are tons of shops up and down the street, so close to each other that you can just walk from one to the other. Niketown, Gap, Saks, Marshalls, H_M, etc. You can also walk up and down State Street and hit places like Macy_s, Nordstrom_s outlet store, etc.

YOu might also want to check out the area on Milwaukee Ave in Wicker Park. It_s more of a younger, hipper, alternative kind of shopping area, but again, the shops are so close that it_s almost like being in a mall.

Finally the Armitage Ave. shopping area (around Armitage and Halsted). Has a lot of shopping as well... Abercrombie and Fitch, Lucky Jeans, etc.

There aren_t very many indoor shopping malls actually IN the city, but there are a lot of shopping areas with lots of shops clustered together.

I_m considering moving up there in the summer of 2008.
I currently live in Los Angeles,California. I_m sick of California and I cannot stand the hot weather and I love the rain.I have visited Seattle and Portland many times but I just want some of your opinions.

Seattle is the best place to live in the Northwest, no other city in the region comes close. Of course compared to LA it_s really boring and there really isn_t much to do, but Seattle preferable over Portland.

Sorry but as a long time Portland native I can say that between the terrible traffic and the less friendly downtown scene, that seattle does not match up to Portland. That aside, if you_re looking for something else that you havn_t seen before, check out eugene.-

The MOST cost effective (but rather time consuming) way is to ride the Metro Blue line north to the Imperial Station. Transfer to the Metro Green line west to the Aviation Blvd. Station. Take the (free) _G_ Shuttle into LAX. Total fare is $2.50, transit time is 1 hour 15 minutes.

You can do the blue to green line thing that someone mentioned, or you can just take the blue line straight up to Union Station and then take the Flyaway shuttle from Union Station to LAX.

super shuttle or primetime shuttle is always good or for public transportation take the BLUE line north and get off where it intersects with the green line. Take the Green line west to the Aviation station and LAX has a FREE shuttle from the Green line to the airport. Shuttle should be around $20 to $30 and the Metro Rail is a couple of bucks.

Shuttle service. You will find them listed under airport shuttle service in the yellow pages (or internet serach).
