If you know a store in the Manhattan, Queens, or Long Island area that would be cool. I dont mind driving at all. Even Tanger outlets is fine. I would go and see but I dont want to be dissapointed at the selection when I get there.

I would get a swimsuit before you go, just to make sure it fits and is what you want. You might try Tropi-Ties Swimwear. There_s a big sale going on and you can find beautiful, designer swimsuits for a fraction of the price. And here_s a little secret. If you want even cheaper, try their discount outlet store on Ebay.

What kind of job could I get in Boston for six weeks in summer?|175143

I_m from Ireland and am going to Boston at the start of July until late August, I have a batchelors degree in English and History. I don_t have any waitressing or bartending experience, but I have worked as a shop assistant for four years. Please help because I_m drawing blanks here!

Since you mention working in a shop, sounds like that would make the most sense to start with. I_d look into places like Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market, maybe Harvard Sq, and other high tourist areas as they get very busy in the summer and will definately be looking for help. A huge advantage you will have is that most of their staffing comes from the college student population, most of whom leave for the summer.

While I agree that Craig_s list is a wonderful resource, I might recommend it more if you are looking for a sublet to live in (a GREAT summer option as you get a lot more for your dollar that way). You might luck out and find a job on there, but many of these places don_t actively advertise until they have an opening. I_m assuming you_d like to set something up before you arrive if possible. I_d suggest checking out different shopping areas and store chains and contacting them directly with a strong intro letter and a resume if you have it. And I know there are a few stores in the area that specialize in Irish goods. I would Google for those and contact them. I am sure they would LOVE someone with the sound there....good for their business and good for you!

My biggest concern is your time here is pretty limited. That might be a problem, but hopefully you will find the perfect job. In the worst case scenario you could always register with the temp agencies and hope for availablity. But I would put that at the bottom of the list, since I personally am not a fan of temping, given how unsure it is, and how half of what you make goes to the employer!

I think the best way to see what jobs are available is by going to craigslist. There are always new jobs being posted on the site everyday. Perhaps you will find one that suits you.

You could try lifeguarding if you are CPR certified and can swim, A lot of libraries do summer camps.

Unfortunately you can_t see stars in any cities, because of the lights..

I live in a city in the midwest, have a deck on the roof above the second floor, so I_m above the lights, and still can_t see well.. even with the big telescope....

How to get to queens mall from Manhanttan?|124713

I live in Manhattan as posted above. I live around george washington heights and all i want to know is how to get there by train? Any answer would suffice.

My friend, if you_re near the _A_ train, take the downtown train to 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal. Once there, go upstairs, crossover to the Uptown/Queens-bound platform and take the Queens-bound _E_ train to Roosevelt Avenue-Jackson Heights.

At Roosevelt Avenue-Jackson Heights, transfer across the platform to the _G_, _R_ or _V_ trains. Take either Forest Hills-bound train from Roosevelt Avenue to Woodhaven Blvd.

At Woodhaven Blvd, exit the subway and walk a short distance to the Queens Center Mall.

Best way will be subway:
Do you mean Ft. George/Washington Heights:
If you_re near A or (1), take them to 42nd St-Port Authority Bus Terminal/Times Sq.
Transfer to Queens-bound (E) train to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Av.
Then take either Queens-bound R or V train. During the evenings after 9pm, G train is provided. Take them to Woodhaven Blvd.

Take any train that_ll get you to able to transfer to the _R_ train. Then take the _R_ uptown train to the Grand Avenue/Newton Street stop. You_ll be about 2 blocks away from the mall when you get out of the train station. Just ask anyone on the street which direction the mall is?

Take the E or V or R to the Woodhaven Blvd stop. The mall is right there at the intersection of Woodhaven Blvd and Queens Blvd.

Im planning a party and im not sure how much money do my friends need to bring. We have to eat dinner and other things.

AMC Empire 25 is a good theatre to go to. The arm rest flips up to make couple snuggle close.

What is the best way to travel between Midway and OHare airports?|108561

I have free Southwest vouchers I would like to use to visit Chicago for my friend_s wedding. Her wedding and reception are actually closer to OHare airport, but Southwest flys to Midway. What is the best way to travel between Midway and OHare? Or should I use my vouchers for another trip and shell out ~$330 to fly to OHare on another airline?

With airfare being so expensive just take the Orange line from Midway downtwon and catch a blue line to O_hare. It is very simple and cheap.

Take the Super Shuttle.....$20 and about an hour

Try taking the CTA train From Midway to O_hare...www.rtachicago.com or call 773-836-7000 it will only cost you about 2 bucks...Take the Orange line to Clark and Lake and Transfer to the Blueline to Ohare..... If you dont want the vouchers i will be more than happy to have them...:)

Take either the shuttle or a taxi. Either way it_s not going to cost you so much that it would be a reason to change your trip plans.

At the risk of being reduntant, the CHEAPEST way to get between the two would be the Orange Line from Midway to downtown, then switch over to the Blue Line (to make the switch, you go into the elevated station, take the escalator down to street level, then down again to the subway).

But the EASIEST way might be to take an airport shuttle. There_s one called Omega that goes between the two airports for $16. Not that expensive to go from door to door.

It_s actually really easy to get from Midway to O_Hare. When you land go to the Orange Line train. Anyone can direct you if you can_t find your way. Take the train up to the Clark/Lake stop and transfer to the Blue Line train. Again, anyone can direct you if then signs confuse you. (Some are great and some seem to make no sense.) The Blue Line goes all the way to O_Hare! People here are pretty nice and helpful when you need directions. The whole ride one way will cost you $2.25. Much better than a taxi!

There are several ways to get between airports. If you are familiar with the mono-rails then you can get there very cheaply while having an experience. Or what I did when I came in at wrong airport one time, they have various van lines that run you over for under 20 bucks. You could get a taxi also but that is cost prohibitive.

The best way is to use the CTA - El-train or the elevated subway you can get almost anywhere in the city and both Midway and Ohare are connected. Once you get closer to where you need to be, take a cab.
