i need to know the fastest/best way i can get to my work at e. 93rd st coming from w. madison. ive checked out CTA and the bus ride takes more than 1 hr. Is taking a taxi smart enough?

Driving would take just as long as the CTA, plus you have the frustration of sitting in gridlocked traffic twice a day every day, which makes driving every day a nightmare. Parking is also outrageously expensive downtown. If you are on the bus or El, you can at least read a book or magazine. A one hour taxi ride would cost you around 50-60 bucks each way, so I would guess that_s too expensive. I took a taxi a couple of weeks ago from downtown to my hotel near O_Hare, and it cost me $53!!

Hello, you can take a taxi to where your work is but I think it would be too much money to afford one but you would like to be safe too.

You can take a taxi if you have enough money! I bet it would cost over $30. Have you tried the El? It should be much faster than a bus. If your workplace doesn_t have an El stop nearby, take the El as close as you can, then take a bus. Make sure that the bus you choose is operating at the time you need to ride. I assume that you do not have a car, but if you do, you can drive on lake Shore drive--use Mapquest to figure out the details.

The CTA is the best and cheapest way to get from West Madison to 93rd St.

Driving yourself is the most prefered way to get around in Chicago. Taking a taxi, day after day will cost a kids_ college tuition.

Use more than one! Organize your photos into groups like _fantasyland,_ _tomorrowland,_ etc., and pick a song from each land. Start with When You Wish Upon a Star for when you first got there. Bare Necessities for when you_re eating. Listen to a bunch of Disney songs with your eyes closed and pick out pictures that the song instantly reminds you of. If the rides you_re on had songs (Splash Mountain, the Tea Cups, Small World) use those. It will make it much more interesting, I think, to use more than one song.

a good one for anything Disney is_ Zip-a-dee-doo-da_ and When _You Wish Upon A Star_ those would be good to start and end with.

but really it depends on what park, and what photo.

If there is a photo that was taken on or in front of a ride than try finding that rides theme song.
(Just beware of its a small world, that is known to drive people crazy lol)

I_m staying for 10 nights, and will be mainly eating out but won_t be planning on spending much. Also have free shuttle to all the theme parks. How much would you say I should bring? What did you bring?

Depends where you_re eating.

Meals can run anywhere from $6 (counter service) to very expensive, it depends what you order and where you go.

If you already have dining resvervations then go to allears.net and check out the link under dining and it will be able to tell you all of the menus for each of the counter service and sit down restaurants so you can see how much your food will cost you.

I went with my boyfriend and we only used counter service meals and only spent about 100 dollars for 4 days.

Well just for food if you are planning on eating out every meal, at around 15 bucks a meal...thats 450 dollars just for food. Thats being safe...thats what i would take just for the food. Anything else take more for extra expenses like suviniers and stuff...I took 500 to Florida (not orlando)...for 4 days and that was with eating out very few times...I still thought I should have brought more. So if your going to be there 10 days...maybe 1000 bucks for food and spending money.

Take the number 2 train. It stops right on Eastern Parkway. There is a stop called _Eastern Parkway_ right in front of the Brooklyn Museum.

We are getting married in April and plan on staying at Hotel Hana in Maui. Anyone been there and is it worth it? Just looking for a place without tourists yet not segregated from activities such as scuba diving, shopping, etc.. I_m open to any suggestions and $ is not an issue.

The Hana Hotel is very nice, but if you want activities, the Hana area has some, but it is limited. Here are some top rated luxury resorts I_d recommend you to consider:
- Maui Four Seasons in Wailea
- Ritz Carlton in Kapalua (this hotel is currently closed for rennovations that are scheduled to be completed in January 2008, well in time for your honeymoon. I think it is always nice staying in a new refurbished hotel.) The Kapalua area is very upscale and relatively secluded, and it is a personal favorite.
- There are 2 Four Seasons Resorts on Lanai that are top rated and have activities.

Hana is not the best place to stay when in Maui. I have been to all of the Hawaiian Islands and I spent about a month in Maui on more than one occasion. Most people, when visiting Maui, stay in Lahaina and take a day trip to Hana to go to the seven sacred pools (which are seven waterfalls that you have to hike about 2.5 miles to see). Aside from the pools, Hana is pretty secluded and not _the Hawaiian_ experience most people go to Hawaii for.

Instead, try Lahaina (which is not far from Hana). It is beautiful and is set on the most amazing reefs you_ll ever see in your life. They are perfect for snorkeling at mile marker 32. Just breathtaking. It offers some of the best restaurants in the world (in my opinion), shopping, and it_s not completely jam-packed with tourists. It gives you enough of a sense of seclusion to enjoy yourself and there_s still plenty to do for entertainment -- whether it is taking a helicopter into the bowels of an active volcano, snorkeling, parasailing, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, luaus, etc.

I prescribe that you stay at the Hyatt Regency hotel. They have the best spot on Lahaina beach and the best amenities and fun features -- not to mention the most beautiful rooms, views, and Hawaiian architecture. They have a swan cafe, which is set on a lake with swans swimming around you, an upscale 5 star restaurant, two swimming pools (with a massive waterfall in the center of the two), and inside of the waterfall is a lounge for sipping cocktails. I mean, this hotel is fully-loaded -- penguins included! Penguins for God_s sake! Penguins! It is a bit pricey to stay at the Hyatt, but it_s not ridiculous and no cost is ever too much for a honeymoon and a great Hawaiian experience.
