Just got a camper and looking for good places to camp with kids within 3 hours of Hartford CT?|190185

The kids are 4 and 7. I have tried to find reviews of campgrounds in New England/New York/New Jersey but have not found any good sites. Most have so few reviews I cannot get a good comparison. I would like to find a campground with lots of things we can do (biking swimming playgrounds etc) that is very family friendly and possibly has some inexpensive activities in the area such as wineries, kid museums or outdoor adventures.

  • Catskills State Park in NY is only 2 1/2 hours from Hartford. It_s GORGEOUS and there_s a lot to do in the area. We love Woodstock (no hippies now). There are some wineries (not at the level of California, but nice) and plenty of outdoor activities. As far as family friendly - you can_t get more family friendly. Families go there every year in the summer. There are some links below that might help-
  • How do you meet someone who has a white collar job?|123897

Personally, I_ve been working fast food all of my life and it_s like I_m always around high school kids and I never get to meet a guy who is a businessman, lawyer, doctor, etc, and has a college education. I also recently just graduated from college and looking for jobs. I just want to know will I meet a nice and well, educated guy in my line of work?

  • when you start working a corporate job

  • First of all, stop looking for men while you_re working. In your spare time go to museums, art exhibits, theatre, and seminars. Culture yourself. Find things that interest you so that when you do meet someone you can carry a conversation intelligently. Men, (especially white collar) love intelligent women. They can also spot posers in an instant. So always be honest and never be embarrassed by your line of employment. Men find that even if the job isn_t so hot your attitude can be. They will respect you for your honesty. You could also try enrolling in some computer classes to find a better job. Good luck honey.

  • find a job wherever they are and you_ll meet one. Too bad I can_t ask you a question because I_m Blasian and I_m a businessman. If you_re ever in Oakland or S.F...........
  • What are some of your favorite attractions in Missouri?|121514

I_m making a collage of Missouri and need some ideas of pictures of things or attractions people love in Missouri. Specifically Springfield, MO if at all possible. Let me know what you love or enjoy!

  • Grew up near Springfield. I enjoy Branson and Silver Dollar City, many of the popular and unknown caves in the area, the many lakes for boating _ fishing, Bass Pro Shops were started in Springfield. Of course, the St. Louis Arch (beautiful at the top on a clear night at sunset!).
  • What roads are closed in Oregon and California?|177583

Because of wildfires. We are going to the coast and we need a website showing all the roads closed in Oregon and California.

  • If you_re coming to California from the north east, stay there, all roads are closed for you. don_t come. Bye

What are some different date ideas and things to do in San Antonio?|110521

Other than the typical dinner and a movie. Brand new to the area and need some ideas.

  • Try an early morning champagne hot air balloon flight followed by breakfast.

Instead if the traditional dinner, and since we all want you to take her to the riverwalk... Try starting with a drink at Swig followed by appetizers at Boudro_s then stroll down the riverwalk and have a Romantic dinner at Las Canarias, stroll back up the riverwalk for cheesecake or icecream, and finish with dancing at Bonham or Polly Esthers.

Instead of dinner and a movie get tickets to a play from the Broadway series at the Majestic (or you can save money at one of the other theatres in town) live theatre is usually much more entertaining and gives you more to talk about after the show.

Take a drive to Canyon Lake and watch the sunset from the deck at Papa Docks restaurant, go on a night they have live music and stay and enjoy the music, then walk around the lake and look at the stars.

Remember your childhood and go to Dave and Buster_s for dinner and play the games for a while.

For New Years if you don_t have a party to attend, head downtown for the festivities and fireworks, it is a lot of fun, and they have the park _ ride running so you don_t have to find parking downtown if you don_t want to try.

Go to the Wurstfest, or just look in the Weekender section of the Express News for a local festival, there is usually one close by almost every weekend.

Suprise her on a weekend with a drive down for a picnic on the beach. It is only 3 hours away.

If you check the Current and the Weekender they will have many activities in the area. Also check out San Antonio Magazine, they have a lot of ideas for what you can do in the SA area.

  • Go to a movie at the theater, walk by the river.

  • River Walk
    Alamo
Ripley_s believe it or not house (across from the Alamo)
    google San Antonio

Haven_t been there lately but have family that live there..lots to do...

Consider going to a Spurs game this fall....

  • RIVER WALK

  • check out this site, it_ll give you enough ideas to last for years to come

  • Take a stroll on the river walk.
    Defend the Alamo.
Take a ride in the tour boats.
    Go to a ball game.
    Go visit John Hagee_s church.
    See the sights.
  • What tips do you have for a Florida Spring Break trip?|110416

We_re 4 college girls (21+) planning to fly to Florida for Spring Break 2010. Please give details on places to stay, eat, and party and things to do :) Any other hints would be nice (e.g. package deals).

  • Panama City, and the panhandle in general, has the nicest beaches in Florida. Probably in the country. Sand that_s as white as snow and so fine that it squeaks as you walk. The drawback is that you_re taking a huge gamble with the weather in March. The Gulf will still be frigid that far north, and you never know if the highs will be 80 or 50 degrees during the day. Panama City is well-equipped to handle tourists/spring breakers and has no shortage of bars and restaurants. I haven_t gone partying there in several years, but the last I knew there were two very large (thousands of people) clubs, Spinnaker and Club La Vila. They will get you wasted and will let you party. I have heard that a lot of their hotels are age-restricted at spring break, so you might want to look into that asap. You might also want to look into the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach or Pensacola areas. They each have their own charm, have gorgeous beaches and good bars (just a little smaller and less crowded than PC). Have fun!

Is going to a private liberal arts college worth the cost?|110890

I live in the Midwest and I_m looking at Lutheran Colleges. I want to know if going to a private school is worth it?

  • Not so much for your undergrad degree. The real issue is with your Masters and Doctorate level. If you can save some money on the BA, I would do it.
