Taking my teenaged daughter. We_ll be 2 chicks looking for good food, shows and shopping. We also want to go to church.

I agree with the other two that answered. The MGM Grand is a great place to stay. Not only that, they have a ton of shopping there, if that_s your thing? But their pool is amazing and love the night life there! There are wedding chapels all over Vegas, but I_m not sure that_s what you_re looking for on a Sunday (wink). So call the front desk when you_re their and they will find you a church.

MGM grand. WOW...this is a perfect spot with the Wizar of Oz as the theme! Perfect pool and it is conveniently located.

One of the circus de sole shows would be fun. I suggest staying away from Cesar_s palace. The cost of rent per square foot is the most expensive in all the world. For this reason they have tremendous pressure to do sales. Primm Valley has an outlet mall that is by the state line. This would be the best shopping anywhere around Vegas.

The buffets at almost all the hotels on the strip would be good enough to keep you full for the rest of the day.
During the day the Guineas museum, Elvis museum, exhibit at Mandalay Bay would be lots of fun. The rides on top of the stratosphere are scary.

MGM is a lot of fun, but Mandalay Bay is a nice place to stay.

Coming from experience....If you are looking for a fun place for shows and most importantly shopping, stay at ceasars palace, the home of the forum shops. Best shopping in all of Vegas.

Just check on any of the large hotel/casinos on the strip ... teens will not care for downtown so stick with the strip. You might consider Planet Hollywood .... might be better for a teen to enjoy herself. Just remember you must be 21 to stop walking in a casino. Can pass through but must not stop in the gambling area.

A really good show to go see is the Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur. It is about $50 each but it includes a dinner served with no eating utensils and a really great show. A lot of energy in this one and great for any age.

My boyfriend and I are planning a long weekend at a Florida beach in late September. Looking for a hotel/resort on the Gulf side (prettier beaches) where we can sit under an umbrella on the beach and have someone deliver tropical drinks to us (or at least have an outside bar we could walk up to). We_d like to keep it around $150/night. It doesn_t sound that difficult, but we haven_t had much luck finding a location that fits the bill. Any suggestions?

I_m coming from Canada. I_d like to visit the southern United States later on in the year during the Fall and Winter. I don_t mind wearing a coat.

How cold do the winters get in the South? Is is still enjoyable to go out and explore the cities? Are most of the tourist attractions shut down?

I plan on backpacking across all the southern states so all answers are most welcome!

Here in North Florida it can get into the 20_s sometimes a little colder. But it also warms up during the day. And the cold spells don_t last more than a week or so then it will only get down into the 50_s or so for a week or two then we_ll get another cold spell. But it_s generally quite pleasant.

they can get in the twenty, usually thirties or fourties. but nothing that could stop you from exploring the cities, none of the tourist attractions are shut down usually. however, the schools shut down at the mereist threat of snow. unlike the north, we don_t have a readily supply of ice, snowplows, car tire spinners, etc.

Well in Texas - it doesn_t get too cold. Around 30s for the coldest days. Other than that pretty enjoyable.

Where would be good places to enjoy the wilderness in New Mexico?|148286

I have been to Taos, Carlsbad, Santa Fe, and thats about it.

The Gila Wilderness in the Southwestern part of the state. Also Chama, Ruidoso, Red River, Jemez. Even the Sandia and Manzano Mountains 20-30 minutes East and Southeast of Albuquerque are beautiful. NM has over 16 million acres of acres of forested land, it_s not just a bleak desert as some people believe.

Lincoln National Forest has lots of winding roads and beautiful scenery though it_s been over 20 years since I_ve been there.

Sierra Blanca White Mountain Wilderness area just outside Ruidoso, New Mexico. Cloud Croft and Red River areas.

I have never hiked at Sierra Blanca but trails are there. I have seen elk, wild mustangs and mule deer.

I am going to Orlando from 1st Dec until 14th Dec. How warm or cold is it there at that time? Considering I am from England and it is currently 13 degrees C at the moment and this is a warm day in winter for us.

You_ll probably want to pack more pants than shorts as it tends to get cool at night and stay cooler in the mornings but don_t over pack on winter clothes. Like a lot of places though, it really isn_t predictable! Have fun because Orlando is a great place!
